Phil You sure are mesmerized by Gloire.
There must be a bunch of pansy boys back in the Pac Rim. I was in Golftown the other day....all the Honma's and Srixon clubs had small lady like grips and the stiff shafts all felt like licorice.
I got paired up with a Korean guy at the course yesterday. His TM caved in and he bought a G30 LS Tec and his friend gave him what looked to be an expensive UST shaft (ATTAS 4U???). I hit the G30 at GT the other day...what an explosive head...I also tried the M1...not bad....anyone got $400 so I can buy a G30.
He also had some really SWEET Muira's...the 300 unit limited edition KJ Choi forged irons...they were gorgeous...there was no label...but I think they had Nippon shafts. I saw a set of the KJ Choi's on Craigslist....I think they were only $1,200....I can't remember...maybe only the heads.
Muira has a HO here in Van City. Adam Barr use to be a VP....but is not on the website's exec team.
I saw a shiny gold and purple golf bag along with another bag yesterday....so I wander over to take a closer look....looked like a woman's bag....and guess what.....surprise...surprise....both had Korean Airline tags. I see so many crazy and unique golf bags sported by many Asian female golfers. It's also great to see the unique clubs the Asian OEM's.

I'm reminded of a pro-am at the Seaview where four middle-age Korean guys played with Na Yeon Choi...and one of them wore NYC's brand, Hazzy...I didn't know they made men's threads too. I should have inspected their bags...probably had a lot of exotic expensive gear. ************* The first 60 players have teed off and Sakura Y. is tied for first at -2...Dumbo is one shot back. Haven’t see Mi Hyang’s caddie yet; I predict she went with a local...and Q Baek Ryu & Ryu

So Yeon Ryu shot a 4 under par 68 to post the low round in the morning wave. Yeah! In Gee shot a 71 and is tied for 4th at the moment. Great to see those two get off to a decent start. Mi Hyang Lee also shot a 71, btw. Hwaiting!

Haven't found a link to the coverage yet, but I did find this page, which seems to have links to Saturday and Sunday. And it looks like an international site, too. This might work: NHK World Premium

HF, great find re NHK World Premium...maybe we'll get lucky. The website for just plain NHK World has nothing on its schedule for the JWO, although Newsroom Tokyo starts in a few minutes...will it have JWO highlights? A lot of high scores: Hyo Joo, Jiyai Shin and Q Baek shot 77s, Theresa Lu a 78 (she's the defending champ?). But some really good stuff from some of the Sisters! So Yeon really rose to the occasion with that 68, and Big Mama Sun Ju Ahn shot a 70. Along with In Gee Chun and Mi Hyang Lee, that's four big talents on the first page of the leaderboard. And I wouldn't count out Bo Mee Lee and Ha Neul Kim at 2 over; that's 21st place right now, just six back. Go Sisters!

SBS Golf must be crazy...after the OK/Pak they have scheduled the 2015 Asia Pacific Amateur Golf Championship...WTH? APAGC is a tape delay on ESPN2/TSN2. Dottie and Frank Nobilo are working.

Luv Sky's outfit. If Sky made it to the LPGA and contended on a weekly basis...would the Mericans embrace her or shun her as another Korean robot?

The first wave of 60 are out on the course...and very few of them are in red numbers today. If SY Ryu will be challenged today, it'll be from the second wave, which tees off in 2 minutes. I need to hit the sack soon so I can get up at 4 AM for a superior product: that Mickey Mouse Asia-Pac Amateur baloney. Big Mama Ahn & SS Feng Ai M., Mika M., and HJ Kim Mi Jeong Jeon and Yuri Fudoh

I watched some of the APAC on SBS Golf. Nice breezy bayside golf course in Hong Kong...no ropes, almost no spectators, but I heard crickets at the 16th tee box. Poor Guan Tianlang(+1), he's in 40-somthing place...shot 31-42 (par is 70) in Round Two...already a Has-Been in the eyes of the State. ************ RANK PLAYER SCORE HOLE TODAY 1R 2R 3R 4R TOTAL 1 So Yeon Ryu -4 F 0 68 72 140 2 Asuka Kashiwabara -3 *F -2 71 70 141 3 Kotono Kozuma -2 *F -2 72 70 142 4T @hina Arakaki -1 *F 0 71 72 143 4T Sun-Ju Ahn -1 *F +1 70 73 143 4T Bo-Mee Lee -1 F -3 74 69 143 4T Mi Hyang Lee -1 F 0 71 72 143 4T Shoko Sasaki -1 *F -1 72 71 143 9T Saiki Fujita 0 *F -3 75 69 144 9T Ji-Hee Lee 0 *F -1 73 71 144 9T Eri Joma 0 *F -2 74 70 144 9T In-Gee Chun 0 F +1 71 73 144 13T Kotone Hori +1 *F +1 72 73 145 13T Shan-Shan Feng +1 *F -2 75 70 145 13T Erika Kikuchi +1 F +1 72 73 145 13T Erina Hara +1 F 0 73 72 145 The cut was +7...the MCs iincluded Ai Miyazato, Ah Reum Hwang, Yuki Ichinose, Rikako Morita, SY Kang, Ji Woo Lee, Teresa Lu, Ayaka Matsumori, and Shinobu Moromizato, Mi Hyang, Erika, and Momoko(+6) The marshal say right down Broadway for Bo Mee Dumbo and SY Ryu Q Baek(+6) and Sakura Y.(+4)

Another solid day for So Yeon to maintain the lead. Would love to see her take this one, she hasn't had three wins in a year in a long time (already had the China event on the LET in March and the KLPGA event last month). She has a long way to go, but go So Yeon! In Gee was all over the map today. At one point she had climbed to 3 under and was right behind So Yeon, but she eventually sank back down to Even with a 1 over round. But she is still in pretty good position. She's making the birdies, she just needs to grind through a few more pars and fewer bogies. Just four back, tied for 9th. Go In Gee! Sun Ju Ahn, Bo Mee Lee and Mi Hyang Lee -- all of whom have won in Japan -- tied for 4th at 1 under. And give credit to Hyo Joo for shooting a 70 today to move to 3 over, seven back. That's a bit daunting, but she could still make a move. A bit bummed that Ha Neul (+4), Jiyai (+5) and Q (+6) aren't doing better, but they all made the cut, so there's that. Go Sisters!!!!

Is it gas or electric? BTW, Sky opened with birdies on #1 and #2... ...and she's getting in Shiyo's head ******** Mi Hyang tees off later with someone I never heard of before, Shoko Sasaki...I looked her up...age 19, turned pro on July 31, earned about $7,358 in three starts on the JLPGA "Step Up" tour...this is crazy.
