A couple more notes. Not only do we have the above ladies in this event, but also Meena Lee, MJ Hur and Il Hee Lee, who are of course also Volvik golfers. And also LPGA rookie stars Ha Na Jang and Q Baek joining Sei Young Kim. This may be the most star packed KLPGA event of the year! In addition, this is a three round event starting on Thursday and ending on Saturday.

Mi Hyang's second career as a reporter for YTN: Regarding the arrow toss into the vase in HF's earlier video, yes, that's part of the run-up to the Chuseok holiday. When I used to watch the K-dramas, one of them had a guy who skipped work from his dad's company and went to play Chuseok games in the park with his girl (who his family detested). Since the holiday falls on Sunday, that would explain the Thursday thru Saturday tourney sked. The golf course is about 30 km north of Seoul. More on Chuseok: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ChuseokSeoul empties out during this holiday...an example from a 2006 photo posted below...if the picture isn't viewable, go to this link:

Round 1: Ha Na Jang Tied for Lead
In the morning wave, Ha Na Jang shot a 7 under par 65, which put her atop the leaderboard the rest of the day. In the afternoon, a second golfer, virtually unknown Eun Woo Choi, joined her. 9 other golfers were tied one shot back. Most were unknowns, but among them was multiple tour winner Soo Jin Yang, who had an ace during her round and won a spiffy $75K Lexus. Also in there was Yeon Jung Seo, who two weeks ago lost a playoff at the KLPGA Championship to Shin Ae Ahn. Among the other guests, Sei Young Kim did best, shooting a 67. Q Baek and Ha Neul Kim both produced 70s. Mi Hyang Lee, who recently contended at the Evian, had the most disappointing start among the guests, shooting a 75. In Gee Chun shot a 70, paired with defending champ Jung Min Lee, who shot one better. Two more days! Scores: 1. Ha Na Jang, Eun Woo Choi 65 -7 3. In Gee seems to be missing her magic at the moment; hope it's back before the start of 2016 LPGA season.

She seems to be having the same problem as Inbee: giving herself a lot of birdie chances and just not making any of them. I only watched three holes yesterday, but she managed to miss birdies on all of them despite three great chances.
Putters have a tendency to come around all of a sudden. Hopefully she has some birdies coming in the next two days!

The way Jung Min Lee started her round with par and six birdies in a row. I thought she would set a course record. She fell right back in the funk, that she has been in lately. Good to see Ha Na and So Jin at the top. In Gee is still in position to win.

Phil You keep on missing your opportunity to loop for MHL. The KPLGA's gotta get with the program....allowing pull carts is bush league. I wonder who will be looping once the Asian swing starts....I believe MHL will play all 5 events.
That must be a picture of the N. Korean border...all the S. Koreans heading north to pay homage to Kim Jong-un for Chuseok.

Happy thx for cleaning up the spam.
Huh....how could you forget about Chuseok?....your wife is Korean....or is she a 'fake' Korean?...I believes she's really 'fake'...I don't believe she plays golf. I imagine you're training your daughter to become a Sista...fighting!! Don't you celebrate or live a 1/2 Korean family lifestyle....or is your wife a banana?
Hmmm....I wonder if Jesus Mozo got the can or will he catch up with Chella once the Asian swing starts?....I think Chella will also play a the Asia swing events.

I didn't forget about Chuseok, just wasn't sure which weekend it was. My wife is Korean American, but thoroughly American. She claims she doesn't know how to speak Korean, but whenever I try to speak it, she always corrects me!

Mi Hyang teed off early at #10 and picked up a stroke, now +2. She's playing with Hye Youn Kim, who has a lady pulling a hand cart for her.
Funny thing about MHL: On the KLPGA website's leaderboard, her name is NOT hyperlinked to a membership profile. The membership file has a Mi Hyang Lee who is 40 years-old and bombed out of Q-school in 2009 & 2010 and that's it. To my knowledge, the current MHL has never played any of the KLPGA tours as a pro on a regular basis, which could explain the missing profile. On the other hand, In Bee Park and Inky never played the KLPGA as regulars, but they have profiles. Hmm...maybe Mi Hyang doesn't want to see her name with a '2' next to it (and I don't blame her).
