I just read an article about In Gee's day. She had a 1.5 meter four putt on the first hole. Yikes! That isn't going to help your score... It's looking grim for her to make the cut, but I'll be rooting for her to do it. If not, she still gets a nice vacation in a beautiful spot, but here's hoping she can do it. In Gee Hwaiting!!!

If I get up at 5 AM, I can check on the Evian for an hour, then switch over to the JLPGA.
As expected, the Korean media was on the job, while Getty Images and the AP were napping during Mi Hyang's run. Misc. Evian sources had a couple of shots:

Look Ma...no mention of MHL sharing the lead on the Golf Channel website. www.golfchannel.com/Korean racism is buoyant on both sides of the Atlantic.

In Gee has been going through some rough patches since Ricoh British Women's Open.
From LPGA standpoint, this is a better time to smooth out rough edges than 2016 when she plays LPGA full time. But in any case, Go In Gee!

In Gee has been going through some rough patches since Ricoh British Women's Open. I think in part it feels that way cause she won 6 times in the previous three months and hasn't won since. But really, it hasn't been all that bad. She was OK at the British, coming off a big win at the Hite with little chance to rest or prep for Scotland. The next KLPGA event, she was great, but Min Song Ha shot the lowest four round score of the year by several strokes; nothing you can do when that happens. At the High1, she played decently most of the week, but her first two holes on day one were so bad that she just couldn't recover from them all the rest of the week and had to settle for a top ten. This first round at Evian was really by far her worst of the year. I hope she can rally, just for the sake of experience if nothing else. Go In Gee!

Mi Hyang is burning up the golf course...-5 on her first 14 holes, leads by four strokes at -10. Of course, GC is NOT following her group, but at least they have the cameras turned on to replay her birdie putt attempts. I tried JTBC Golf, but they have the same video feed. BTW, AP Images have Meena Lee(below) and P. Phatlum mixed up on their photo captions...probably because they're both wearing Volvik caps...yeah, that must be it.

In Gee Chun also knows that she's taking up membership next year. She's accomplished pretty much all of her goals. It's hard to be excited after accomplishing all that she has. Take a look at the men's side, and Jordan Spieth. Once the majors were done and he accomplished so much, he put it into auto pilot. Can't blame Chun if she's looking to just kind of sail along the next couple of months. She'll be jazzed up for the Hana Bank, though. I bet she's still feeling a little burned by last year.

Ko's putting from 5-10 ft has been average at best as of late....although she won in Canada....she missed too many in that range too. With all the Aimpoint stuff and etc....I think Lydia is over thinking the putts.
I wish the LPGA had PGA like stats....I'd like to see Ko's strokes gain putting and wedge play stats in detail.

Although current form means nothing BUT only 2 Solheim players in the top 10 and 8 pros missing the cut.
We are going to witness a "the best of the average" exhibition.

Yeah, this is one of the reasons that the Golf Channel's systematically ignoring the Koreans is so inexplicable. That same feed goes to a customer who pays massive money (more than Golf Channel I'd wager) primarily because they want to see Korean golfers, yet Koreans are usually put in out of the way pairings and ignored even when they play with American golfers. I would think that SBS would sooner or later complain about it to the LPGA. Why do we see so much of Yani Tseng hacking her way around the course? Why is one-time winner Brooke Henderson given a prime pairing instead of one time winner Chella Choi, or two time winner Mirim Lee? Why doesn't SBS try to lean on the LPGA a little to even things up a little? Anyway, Go Sisters!!!

So Yeon thirty three and thirty five putts first two rounds. Bummer! Go Mi Hang.
Sorry Happy Fan. They have their favorites. The Koreans Golfers do not fall into that category.

Ain't gonna happen...at least not until they find a Korean LPGA commissioner.....hey....isn't your wife Korean and even better yet....I think she's a lawyer.....ideal for a commissioner...hey wait....maybe not....the past female commish nearly destroyed the LPGA tour. If SBS wants to see more Korean coverage...they need to send over their own TV crew.
