The Dinah Shore, Colgate, Kraft, Nabisco, All Nippon Airline tournament has six months to figure out how to really embarras the players. I think a dopey sign Evian made them hold is prett tacky At least give them a cute stuffed animal with writing on it. Or perhaps they should be required to get a tatoo of a past champion. At least the Evian folks aren't asking the players to have a dance with the virtual dancing babies from their commercials - and you thought the Ricoh advert where Paula was hitting shots within a busy corporate office was weird.

Both Lexi and Jessica had great chances to become LPGA's "It Girl"; Lexi can still do it but time is running out for Jessica.
LPGA needs Lexi, and one or two of the new breed, to really catch fire and make a big splash. Otherwise, it will continue to be an afterthought compared to other individual sports.
Someone like Nancy Lopez, charismatic and winning 9 tournaments (5 consecutive) as a rookie.

The biggest hindrance to the LPGA is the Golf Channel, who in there right mind would pay good money to watch two minutes of golf and then four minutes of adds, people want to watch the golf not shite like that.

Kevin I LOVE the Evian dancing babies! It's one commercial we don't fast forward through.

I think she's enjoying her work/career and making some money without getting overly obsessed with contending each week....she also doesn't have the expectations from the fans or media as some other pros. Lexi has a sloppy short game. If I was Maclean, I would suggest that practice be spent 80% on putting and chipping. Yes, Lexi is young....but we haven't seen any consistent improvement in her short game to challenge Inbee, Ko & Lewis as the top 3 yet. It was Jan Stephenson and Jan Stephenson alone why I started to follow/watch the LPGA....the tour back then was on empty inventory for any lookers.

I will pull for Danielle Kang and IK Kim this week. I suggest Danielle pretend it is the US Am and Inky remember it is not the 18th green at Dinah Shore.

Mi Hyang is T-3 at -3 with four holes left to play on the front nine. M. Wie had a suffocating 75.

I wish Michelle would concentrate more on her golf game. Not spend so much time on her hair color. Glad to see Jin Young Ko near the top of a Major again. Another surprising first round for In Gee. So Yeon and In Bee at plus one, is still in it.

Wow... Did not see that coming from In Gee. She was especially preparing for this event, took a few weeks off, and blam, her worst round of her LPGA career by a lot. Youch. Not a good start for Inbee, Hyo Joo or So Yeon, either, although much better than Dumbo. Korean Olympic team needs to step it up in round 2! On the other hand, great 2 under start for Jin Young Ko. Would love to see her get into the mix on the weekend. And this seems like a course made for Sei Young Kim, so let's see what she can do to follow up her 69. Nice job Eun Hee, Minjee and MHL! Sisters Hwaiting!!!
