The top of the tournament poster says in big caps THE MAJOR and it starts Thursday with a field of 132 (Ai Suzuki is defending champ). They're playing at Passage Kinkai Island GC, about 10 miles north of Nagasaki. The course is surrounded on three of four sides by Omura Bay and is set at 6735 yards. SBS Golf will show 90 minutes of the Friday thru Sunday rounds at 7PM local time. Three of the four par-3s are over large water hazards.

Nice...I doubt they would play over 6700 at sea level.
Hmmm......3 majors this week including a fake major hosted by a water company.

Good to see Ha Neul have a good round. One of my old time favorites Yuri Fudoh make the cut.
On another note. International player Mamiko Higa dead last, at plus twenty one. I really thought that she would have a solid career. She is still young, so maybe she will turn it around.

Well, the schedule is to get up at 6 AM to watch this one, then multitask with the LPGA at 7:12 AM (Mi Hyang's tee off). I'm not even checking JLPGA scoreboard tonight, but here are a few early pix from Round Three. As the for KLPGA, there's the later edited replay if I'm interested (I barely am)...maybe they're the people with the fake Major...no Dumbo and no JY Ko (how did she get into Evian, anyway?). Ayaka Watanabe and Mi Jeong Jeon Ritsuko Ryu and Akane IIjima

Just took my last look at the Leader Board. Momoko Ueda, thinks to a minus eight today has the lead, at minus six. Bo Mee is at minus four through seventeen. Teresa Lu minus four through twelve. Ha Neul and J A Shin minus two. Look like an great final round tomorrow, even though things may change later.

After the British, Jin Young Ko was top 20 in the world rankings. I think her world ranking got her into the Evian.

Momoko made a bomb putt at #18 (pic is below)...a great round, but I think it'll narrow down to Teresa Lu and Bo Mee Lee tomorrow. Bo Mee can change anything that she like to. I would like either one of them to win. However I think Bo Mee is playing to strong right now.
I sure wish that she would play the ANA next year.
