The playoff was a riot. Lewis hits over into the crowd, and then... wait for it... her go-to move: she looks at her club. No, Stacy, twas you that did that, not your iron! It just struck me as funny that she did it again after someone around here mentioned how she always does that. I am aware that this place is a hot bed of Stacy bashing. But I can't help myself but to defend the honor of my future wife. I think she was just checking the clubface for the ballmark of her shot. You don't see many pros do it because they already know by the feel of the contact. It is one of the idiosyncrasies of Stacy, I tend to believe. For a weekend hacker like myself, it is always the club, it is never me. But I doubt any Pro, let alone the top Pros, would even remotely think that way.

Happy Fan. I watched the entire broadcast. No they did not show one shot or putt, of the number one player. They did not show So Yeon birdie putt on seventeen. I was surprised that they showed Sei Young on eighteen.
Lydia won, however that draw that she now plays causes her to miss more fairways.

You've never watched Bubba Watson golf, have you? I have seen Bubba blaming the wind, the rain, his caddie, the spectators, his playing partners and even the ants. But you are probably right, I wouldn't be surprise if he blames his clubs. Bubba is the exception.

It seems like they were really skipping a lot of the Sisters even though several of them were in contention. Did they show Inbee at all? Well. more important to show Charly Hull than the world's #1 player, I guess...
===========
HappyFan, that's why I don't watch GC too much unless the Sisters are in a lead. I usually surf the net while streaming GC on my computer with CC on.

BTW, is it chilly up there? I see a lot of light warm-up jackets and Charley Hull wore a light cardigan yesterday. It was cloudy and cool on Thurs and cloudy Fri am until it burned off for the afternoon.

There are more people there on a Friday than in the last 10 years at the Colgate Dinah Shore. Id like to attend but Im pretty sure Trump wont allow me back in the US. The gallery size were disappointing all week compared to 2012......1/5 the size....but still...far greater galleries than 70% of US events. I have no explanation.....a deeper tour than 2012 and Brooke won the week before....MW missed the cut in both years...she still continues to be the needle mover....MW continues to sign some autograph and then storms off ASAP....what you see on TV is not what is witnessed in real life.

Tony, thanks for the photos. Mr3putt, thanks for the reports. How are you handling the weekend rounds finishing so late, right into the dinner hours? For me, that'd be rough since I like to arrive early. I'm normally at any event by 8am...the wife is in Ontario and I'm the single parent for our dog...so I was there 10:15am to 7pm most days. I try not to eat at most events....only drink water....though I did cave on Fri afternoon and had some nice $5 thick cut fries.

Yippee, an AWE-SUMMER final-round 66 for Mi Hyang Lee! I wonder if she had some anger channeled into her game from Saturday's 74. Tom Abbott mentioned that Stacy Lewis is now on her third golf ball brand/type this week for this year. No specifics were mentioned, of course. Anyone else hate those Golf Now/Dinosaur commercials? I'm looking forward to Feherety's GC interview with Judy Rankin tomorrow. I cheated a little by reading a long 1977 article on her at the online Sports Illustrated vault. Brooke brought in the A-team to loop on the weekend...I assume this mammoth structure is NOT part of the golf club, or is it like the apartments at Westchester CC? Phil MHL was pissed on Sat....I saw her chunk her approach on 16 and stayed bent over in frustration for 20 seconds....she's temperamental...I guess her application to Korean Robot school was rejected. She's got an old frail looking loop....I think he said his name was Mike and said he's a long time caddie. MHL was speaking with some 20 something Koreans by the practice green fence...she then reaches into her bag for an envelope and hands one guy a bunch of weekly passes. I chat with one guy...a SFU grad who use to do some fitness consulting with the Korean Volvik gals. The Volvik is a sh*t ball....even Kylie (who is looping for The Mini Rocket) said the ball is crap. Phil Looks like you've got another gal to fanboy....but she doesn't even play recreational golf. I spoke with Lydia's older (8 years) but smaller sister for about 15 minutes....no one at the event has figured out this is Ko's sister....there is no other sibling. Seems like sis is good friends with Minjee. Ko's sister is a cuter version of MHL...and MHL is pretty cute. MHL, The Rocket and Chella don't have the greatest complexion....unlike many flawless smooth white skinned Korean ladies....even many older Korean ladies into their 50's have flawless skin. Ko's dad doesn't speak English and I gathered my nerves to speak with The Dragon Lady....but I was SCARED.....her English is only OK at best. Those GolfNow commercials are BRUTAL....I've yet to use GolfNow. Those are condos just west of the course.

Congrats to Ko on the win that seemed inevitable for two days, yet almost didn't happen. Hmmm...Ko wins but there's only pics of Ryu and SYK? Oh I forgot....I know why....Lydia = "fake' Korean. KO IS KOOL!! Lydia wins in KO-quitlam.

I was surprised that they showed Sei Young on eighteen. Lydia won, however that draw that she now plays causes her to miss more fairways. I right there when SYR nailed her approach to 3 feet on 17...and I and the crowd went nuts when she birdied. I was also only 15 ft away when SYK drained her birdie on 17...we all went nut again too. In 2012, I would have never had access to that spot.......there were 1000's in 2012 in between the 15,16 and 17 holes where they converge. I was so disappointed SYR and SYK didn't birdie 18 with a chance at the playoff. From what I saw during the week...Ko's drives only had a slight draw....Ko is slightly taller and more stout than 2012...therefore has more trajectory on shots. IMO....Ko is a very good driver of the ball....it's too bad the LPGA doesn't have a combined driving stat. It was Ko who put her drive on the 72nd hole and the playoff to within a few yards of each other....I was there and was 6 ft away from Stacy's hooked drive into the rough...it was a brutal lie....the ball sitting in a 3" rough crater....no surprise the rough caught the hosel and the club face shut down. I also think Alison is a good driver of the ball....and Shanshan had so much confidence driving her ball on Saturday paired with Charley. IMO....it's Ko's putting and wedge play that have let her down...she should have won this event by 7+ strokes....Ko use to be a really good wedge player. Ko didn't birdie one par 5 in rds 2,3 &4....this reinforces my observations. I know it's the pro that hits the ball...but based on some spots Ko hit to...I'm not convinced Jason is a great loop.

It was nice to catch up with TonyJ and and Cindy and it was a pleasure to meet Golfing Grammy and her spouse for the 1st time. I think I really impressed GG with my 'stirring the pot" dance moves....lol. And NO...I won't play Pak Picker...unless there's money involved.

The broadcasters talked about Candie Kung losing distance in the past few years...ten years ago she had the fastest swing tempo on the LPGA...it's noticeably slower now...old age already? mr3putt: Uh huh...SEE, I TOLD YOU SO!!! mr3putt: I think you're at 2:54 and 3:10 - www.youtube.com/watch?v=21XFmMPIpQEurinara: Charley's twitter account shows her at Ibiza Beach, Spain earlier this month...I'm not complaining. mr3putt: ...yeah, because they attend golf tournaments this way. Mr3putt is surely a nicer person in real life than he is on here. Good to hear!
