Congratulation to Min Byeol Kim for a hard fought first win.
The best thing about the win is that she was pressed all the way after taking the lead and didn't let up.
Again, what an absolutely great round nine birdies no bogeys with all the pressure on the back nine after taking the lead.
A shout out to Shin Sil Bang solo second just two back,

AT LAST!!! Great win by Min Byeol Kim!So happy to see Min Byeol Kim get her long overdue first win.  She played exactly like I recall from last year; if she can keep this up, she's on her way to being a superstar! She was hounded the entire way and played like a champ. Repeatedly she hit a great iron and made a clutch putt to maintain a slim lead over hard charging best friend Shin Sil Bang. I spotted the two of them having a long hug after the win. Bang was probably almost as happy for her friend as she would have been if she pulled this one out herself. +18, the best score of the day, nine birdies, no mistakes of note. I was grinning ear-to-ear watching this. When she hit long on the 18th and put herself into a dicey position well past the green, I didn't worry. I knew she would do something special, and she put the exclamation mark on her win with a superlative pitch to a foot for an easy par. While she awaited the final group, several of her friends put flowers in her hair, which was really sweet.  Again, fabulous week for Min Byeol Kim. Congrats on joining the winners squad!

You can really see just how many quality shots Min Byeol hit today by watching the highlight reel. She picked the exact right time to shoot what was probably the best round of her life. Congrats again!!!

Youmin Hwang exceeded a billion won in season earnings, becoming the fourth player to do that this year, an all time record.
Ina moved to the top of the Player of the Year rankings, meaning she now tops that stat, money list, scoring average and K-Rating, a ranking for who are the best overall players on tour.
Another interesting stat: there are six players who are top ten in driving distance and in GIR. Five of them have won on tour this year. The only one who hasn't is Shin Sil Bang. The others: Ina Yoon, Ji Young Park, Su Ji Kim, Hyun Jo Yoo and So Hyun Bae -- all have won. Long driving is starting to become more and more essential to success on the KLPGA.
