Are there six KLPGA majors? This isn't a major as far as I know. The last 100 point major is HiteJinro Championship at Blue Heron GC.
The winner here should get 90 points.

You are right I do it every year just in case they change it to a Major. Big money because they no longer co- sponsor it with the LPGA. Also, it's why the past winners list is so short. |

Next event is a major (I believe, Hite) but this will have a higher divisor for world ranking points with all the imports. Is Hana Bank going to come crawling back to Yealimi after this season? Hopefully the brain trust that chose JB over her all got axed!

Yes, Hite Cup is the year's final Major. Hana Financial was formerly the LPGA co-sanctioned event, which is why it still pays out so much.

Man, Ina was playing brilliantly today. Long, mostly straight, with some fabulous irons, and her putter was on fire. If she can keep up playing like this it's going to be a fun week! This is her first time at this event, because she wasn't able to play it either of the last two years. Hwaiting!  |

Not the greatest round for Ina; she seemed to be working hard without a lot to show. But she had a great tee shot on 16 for an easy birdie, then striped it to five feet on 18 and made that one. Hyun Ji Hong had two short lipouts on par putts, including on the final hole to drop out of a share for the lead. Nice runs by Ji Young Park, defending champ Da Yeon Lee and Yu Jin Sung. Hwang is lurking. Could be a great weekend! Hwaiting! |

Shot length showed she hit her 168-yard approach shot on eighteen to .8 yard for a tap in birdie. Min Byeol Kim missed the cut, seems to be in a mini slump. Made bogy on last hole to missed cut by one.

The 18th seems to have been a tricky hole. Hong missed a short par there; so did Hyo Song Lee.
For most of the day, it looked like Hyo Song Lee had finally found her mojo as a pro. She moved to 6 under, just a shot back. But she went bogey-double-bogey on the final three holes to drop like a rock. Too bad, but it's nice that she had a few strong holes to build on.
Soo Min Oh also struggled, but unlike Min Byeol, she made the cut. She finished with two bogies and just made the cut.
