Intl Crown would be better if it was formatted like the Asian Games/Youth Olympics/LIV - stroke play but X out worst score of each round.

Nobody cared when Couples and Love were winning World Cups. There is a critical mass of teammates needed until the DRAMA kicks in.

Problem is, only a handful of countries could go 6-8 deep. USA, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Sweden, Australia ... And then it gets tricky.

We’d know by now if the International Crown was going to be awesome.

Congratulations, it's a fair suggestion. The problem is whether players like Nelly Korda, Rose Zhang and the crew need those additional obligations! Over the years, I understand how much each tournament takes out from each player. Team tournaments like Olympics and Solheim double the amount of tolls. International Crown is cool but it's hard to get into a frenzy over 4 golfers from each country. Based upon last year's experience, it's hard for some of the golfers themselves to get into a frenzy... see Hall and Hull... But the Thais had no problem showing up.

If Old Tom Morris was alive today he’d be in Thailand immersed in the game.

If Old Tom Morris was alive today he’d be in Thailand immersed in the game. Yes, my opinion is that Thailand is the #2 Asian country in women's golf these days, ahead of Japan. ROK needs to keep its act together. ROK, (Thailand, Japan), China, (Malaysia, India). One person's opinion. But none of them were allowed to compete in Solheim, Switzerland was, Lichtenstein and Luxembourg would have been allowed and they have fewer competitive golfers than Colombia! Or RSA! Or Australia or Canada or Mexico!

We’d know by now if the International Crown was going to be awesome. The Intl Crown when it was held in Korea was exciting to watch. Probably the most lively crowd in golf history.

I think Ina Yoon and SS Bang should team up at the Simone Cup this year.

Money talks. In LPGA revenue terms I suspect the US Women’s Open is the most successful tournament each year but I guess Solheim Cup is next. I see IMG are partnering the LPGA to deliver the next tournament in 2026 in the Netherlands. I bet it’s a flat course!

With 8 teams only the 4 players from the host country have the pressure of losing. The others can lose quietly in the night like a beer league Calcutta.

The UL International Crown Hanwha Life Plus International Crown is another dog that needs to be put down. We already know the venues for the next two Solheim Cups ... but, what about the Crown? Nothing. The 2023 Crown was announced in Oct. 2022 ... my guess is that the 2025 Crown will be announced next month. Given that Hanwha throws money at women's golf like there is no tomorrow, it looks like a slam dunk that it'll be put in ROK next year, probably at the start of the fall Asian swing (similar to 2018). One other possibility is that they'll play in England, as a make-up for missing it in 2020 ... and maybe the venerable law firm of Hull & Hall will show up. We know that JLPGA and KLPGA regulars will avoid it like that plague at either site. Really, this mutt needs to be put out of its misery.
