I'm busy, not watching this ... USA ahead 13-8 ... I'm guessing they'll back their way into 14.5 points. Ewing on track to get a big serving of Alpo tonight, which she might have to share with Kupchoke. Some people are roasting Lewis for playing Korda Two only ONCE on Saturday ... but did K2 even show up this AM?

It got interesting down the stretch after the US got two early points but in the end the US won it on the first day. Europe was able to gain only one point after the play finished.
My favorite match was Rose Zhang kicking Carlota can all over the course.
Lexi played her final(?) Solheim quite well with many made long putts. Her opponent Celine Boutier came back even better. It was rather a low-key event for Celine until today.
Lilia Vu clinched the victory by birdieing, and winning, her last two holes to come back and tie her match. Good job!

I was meh on Rose before this event but she kicked a mud hole in Slowganda today made me a big fan. Also 4-0 without ever seeing the 16th hole is impressive.
LC was getting all the shine in the press conference while Meg was ready to party.
I like Capt Lewis analytical approach to her team selection, Yealimi must have been the 13th woman. This thing would have been over sooner if she was on the team. š¤

The problem is whether players like Nelly Korda, Rose Zhang and the crew need those additional obligations! Over the years, I understand how much each tournament takes out from each player. Team tournaments like Olympics and Solheim double the amount of tolls. |
