BTW, isn't Calgary a "home" tournament for The EMP? You'd think she'd have Dusty on her bag, but she has someone named Kelly Laybourn instead ... and the same looper had her bag at the Dana Open, too. TMZ is asking what's up I think Dusty is the head pro at some club in Calgary, so this is probably the busy season at his day job.

Annie is trying to hit for The Cycle today ... one single, two doubles and a triple after six at-bats. She might be cooked but birdies at 8+9 to get back to +5. Will be a true warrior like performance if she can make the cut!

Looks like she's hitting out of the park and not in a good way. +9 after 14. Haeran -2 after 8 while her playing partners Brooke +1 and Lilia +2 struggle

I wonder what has happened to Annie Park in the past that has caused her game to get so bad. Has she had an injury, swing changes or something else. She has hit only three fairways and seven greens thorough seventeen holes. She always had a solid swing nothing unorthodox about it. She is young and can recover hopefully.

Injuries were the main culprit. From the interviews I've seen, she never took working out seriously in her youth. Probably now struggling mentally to get back to the indomitable force she was in college, epson tour and early LPGA where a regular in top 50 CME was her ceiling. She just turned 29 so let's hope there is a second surge in her 30s like we see from many others! Uses the broom putter because its easier on her back. Hopefully will get tagged to be assistant captain on Solheim one day - all the younger Trojans talk glowingly about her mentorship like Allisen and Jen Chang.

5 sisters T4 or better - Soo Bin and Hyo Joon in top 10 and Gina hasn't blown up yet. I bet Soo Bin wins Portland this year cause why not?

The afternoon Korean golfers didn't do nearly as well as the morning group. I think that they were all over par with two plus sevens a plus six and two plus fives.
Another USC Trojan had a tough day, Gabriela Ruffels had two birdies six bogeys and a double bogey. Not too much help from her putter with thirty-three.
I didn't watch the Broadcast; did it get really windy in the afternoon.

Yes, during the broadcast they kept saying that the wind was a problem, and that the morning golfers had an advantage because it was not so windy in the morning.

Fit her for velcro in about 50 years from now.

What is going on with all these Getty close-ups of women's sneakers? I can only assume one of the following: 1. A shoe sponsor made a special photo request to Getty so they have confirmation that their player/staffer is wearing their brand during competition. 2. The photog used the sneaker shot to set the focus of his camera lenses. 3. The photographer has a creepy sneaker fetish. Considering Getty previously took close-ups of the EMP's geriatric slip-on Velcro sneakers, I'd say it's probably not #3.

Not a good day for a lot of our favorites - MHL, Lee6, A Lim, SoMi, Awesome K, Jen Chang.
I noticed AP was actually leading the tournament when she birdied the first hole in the first group - I wonder if she's the only person to be first and last in the same round 🤓
