The skid row tour resumes next week ... player #144 is Jill McGill ... at least Su Oh has a chance to get off food stamps.

After qualifying last year as a 15(?) year old high schooler AND making the cut, Mia Hammond got an invite this time.

Seems like a good week for Pauline RB to unlock her LET prowess on this field.
Even Yealimi is taking the week off.
Ive never heard of sister Haru Moon, before my time, but good luck to her.

Yealimi firmly has her card next year but I agree it could be a missed opportunity to vault into the top 60 against such a weak field.

Thursday's tee times are set ... MHL gets Yuna ... and Xiaowen Yin ... which one doesn't belong? For being 141st in GIR on the scrub tour, Su Oh gets M. Francella and Kim Williams. I'm surprised The EMP (4.65 CME points) received the respectable duo of Pop-off and Papp-Budde. J. Song with Harigae and Yuri looks interesting.

I played back the video of today's interview with Hot Stuff Shepherd ... wore a sleeveless top with a small Munsingwear penguin logo ... says her goal is to be #1 ... of what?! She was one of my all-time favorite amateurs to follow on course ... but the pros, ugh ... 9 trunks slams in 12 starts against the scrubs this year.

Btw, Haru Moon = Haru Nomura

Strange I saw a list of old tee times with Haru Nomura name was on it. Then I wondered what happened to her and there she is with a different name.

My field rating for this event is a year low 27.5%, down from 35% last year. My breakdown is 32% from the LPGA Priority List and 23% from the Rolex Rankings. Not a single player from the top ten in the Rolex Rankings will be teeing it up this week. In fact, Xi Yu Lin (Number 17) is the highest ranked player in attendance. The Monday qualifiers were: Jensen Castle (USA) -2 Brianna Do (USA) -1 To add insult to injury, Golf Channel will NOT televise Thursday's or Friday's round. Saturday will be tape delay. Sunday Golf Channel gives us one full hour (gee thanks) before it switches to CBS for its conclusion.
Other stuff: There have been nineteen tournaments played so far this year. Six have been decided by 1 stroke, four have been decided by two, and three others needed a playoff to determine a winner. Ayaka Fure's top ten finish this past weekend (yes she won), was her ninth of the year. Nelly Korda is second on tour with seven. Furue has played in 17 tournaments this year (53% top ten ), Nelly has just teed it up twelve times (58% top ten). The two players above are also in a battle for the Vare Trophy lead. Furue has a current average of 69.887 to Korda's 69.976. The race for the Louise Suggs Rookie of the Year is the closest race in quite a few years. Gabriela Ruffles leads with 417 points. Mao Saigo has now moved into second place with 395. Jin Hee Im falls to third place with 376.
As is usually the case after a major championship, there was plenty of movement in the Rolex Rankings this week by LPGA players: Nelly Korda continues to have a huge lead at the top spot. She has now been number one for 17 consecutive weeks and 54 weeks overall. The most important move this week was made by Ayaka Fure who catapults up from 21 to 8. Patty Tavatanakit leaps from 28 to 18. Laurn Coughlin explodes from 56 to 37. Stephanie Kyriacou Skyrockets from 100 to 47. Hye-Jin Choi Climbs from 55 to 48. Esther Henseleit powers her way up from 64 to 54. Pajaree Anannarukarn hurdles up from 96 to 75. Peiyun Chen surges up from 91 to 78. Jasmine Suwannapura enters the top 100, and my field rating, Jumping from 105 to 98. Long-time top LPGA player Danielle Kang has fallen out of the top 100.

Yep, '75' is the magic number that Battleship Ina must be focused on from now until the entry deadline date (Oct. 8) for Stage 3 LPGA q-school.

Wow, one of the locals did his homework on the article above ... the first name on his list is MHL. Even I didn't know that she tops the Dana field in birdies this season (198).

Gina Kim is playing with fellow struggle bus members Maria Fassi and Kempy, all 3 are outside of the CME 100
AP gets fellow Epson chum Becca Huffer and olympian Alena Sharp.
Looks like Jung Min Hong gave up her LPGA dreams for now, she would have been in the field with her priority next to Annie.

Thank you for clarifying the Haru Moon mystery. The tournament entries list shows her as a tournament winner. After going "hunh?", I discovered that she had won three times. The last was back in April 2017 at the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout. She won with a -3 score and in spite of a +5 last round.
Just wow regarding the TV schedule. We're really into the sports doldrums until the Olympics start.
