It's about 7:45 am at the range ... E. Migliaccio walked through here with a microphone ... which GIC player is she planning to interview later? MHL starting at 8:46 am at #10, but is not on the range. I'm behind Chairwoman Mao who ironed out a couple of parallel bacon strips.

I was behind Catherine Park ... a baby cut appears to be her stock shot, but was not consistent with the amount of curve ... SoCal coach Jusin S. Is looping for her.

I found the 2023 LPGA sand save queen across the road in the short game practice area ... hitting sand shots close to the pins, except for one that she bladed over a flag (well, better now than later). I don't recognize her caddie, but he's her third one in three events since splitting with Sir Nick.

A couple of guys were talking ... one said the annual dues amount at LCC is $40K ... the other (a volunteer) said they stimped the practice greens to match the course greens ... they also did the equivalent of stimping the faiways.

Here we go again ... big splash for Misemer at #12. The tee is roughly in the same place as yesterday, but the flag is in the back left on a flat area. MHL looking over uphill birdie attempt of about 18 feet ... almost made it.

Followed JEL6 from the 15th tee to 16th tee ... her swing looks a lot better than when she played like garbage at UMCC in 2023 ... took a vid of her swing from behind at #16 - less fidgety with pre-shot routine and no big crossover move at the top. Most players tee off with less than driver at short downhill 16th, but Six didn't chicken out and striped her driver down the middle.

Jasmine Koo briefly visited the 12 tee box ... probably looking for C. Park. I think Koo was a 1st alternate, but no one else dropped out to let her play.

The par-5 13th tee is set up with Trackman and some huge gadget behind it ... is it a drive measuring hole? MHL reached green in three, first putt too long, makes 3-foot comebacker.

Esthet H. just 4-putted the 14th green ... in front of her parents, I think.😠MHL narrowly missed 20-25 foot birdie at #14.

Two more near miss birdie putts for MHL at 15 and 16 ... still at +4 ... definitely within the cut line, but she wants more!

Sophie Gustafsen was walking around the 11th green wearing a caddie badge, scouting the course, I assume ... don't know who her boss is.

MHL hit it 183 to 9 feet, zero inches right of the hole at the par 3 17th. I'm directly beyond her thru line ... it will probably break right to left ... WOO-HOO, I called it, now +3.

CRAP! The 18th fairway is crazy wide, but MHL put it in the right bunker ... then with a wood or UT, she hit the top of the bunker, cutting her intended distance by more than half. From the rough, she hit a nice ball at the flag to 14 feet... par is still possible ... except she missed, back to +4.

I'm not following MHL for holes 1 & 2, the walk has too many dead ends. I'm hanging below the GC booth ... Nichols was talking about how Rachel Rohanna's baby needed her diaper changed before mommy teed off at her 1st hole yesterday. Anyone know if Brandel demanded that 1100 yards be chopped off this golf course?

The par-4 3rd plays steeply downhill and with a modest breeze at your back ... should be a lot of monster drives here. Took a vid of MHL hitting it 270. I watched Alison Lee from that tee box and the USGA says she hit it 290. Speaking of Gimmee, a woman nearby said she hosted her three times - twice at Lancaster USWO and once as a junior.
What's up with The Zhangster? At par-3 6th, she hit a dreadful balloon ball that finished behind the right bleachers, then teed up another that was almost as bad.

Right after Beth Ann's story, Mel Reid chimed in about another player (a new mom) who had to excuse herself from her playing partners to pump some breast milk. The LPGA: It's different out here. |

Nothing is going right for Misemer (+23) ... at 5th green, she gets MHL to move her mark, but still hits a putt that bumps over that mark. MHL stuck it to 4.5 feet at #5 and made the putt, woo-hoo!

Big putt at 7 ... and BIG downhill putt at 8 ... MHL at +1!!!
