Aigoo, left at 4:15 AM and arrived at a hilly cow pasture parking area at 7:35 AM ... now 7:50 AM and the shuttle is moving.

Guess who was the first player I saw? You have 156 guesses.

If it's possible to rope this place more than 2015, well, they accomplished it. Several gear vans are in the parking lot between the driving range and the clubhouse ... I think that's a new location this time. The Old Ko received hands-on instruction at the range ... Jin Hee Im wore a face shroud and had a Swinggyde attached to her driver.
*****
A: Jiwon Jeon ... didn't she start as a pro with Crazy Bob? If so, not anymore ... has a Mizuno bag.

I crossed over two fairways and did not see any bare patches or brown patches ... we are NOT at Evian.

No. 16 is playing about 350 downhill. The Zhangster hit a tight draw down the left side of fw ... playing with Samantha Brown(a), who laid back (why?) with her 3w to right-center. There is no short 230 practice tee like in 2015.

At the practice green next to clubhouse ... Yui leads with most gadgets ... a builder's level, a straight bar to line up three tees, and two metal spikes suspending a string over the path of her putts.

Pimpisa "Sandwich" Sisuthan of the UCF Knights was asked by her school coach "what do you want to work on?" I think her assistant coach is also here.

Ozeki gave Minbyeol a bag of snacks after the finished up on the 9th green .... Kimura was also in group. Now I will cross the river for holes 3 thru 7.

Before I went to 3, Hong Kong and Coconut showed up at 9th green ... they conversed before exiting ... got pics of both.

No. 6 is being played seven paces behind the 173 marker with the flag in the deep back right-center. Grant playing with Schofill ... HUGE difference in sound and ball flight between their irons (both with Ping) ... Grant hit a dart to about 7-feet below the hole ... Schofill hit a drifter to the right collar, maybe 40 or 50 feet short. Grant has all the physical tools to push Korda Two for RR #1, but she doesn't and I don't know why ... looks like her coach is with her and Schofill has a guy wearing Auburn logos following along.

Rio Takeda playing as a solo at the par-4 5th hole ... which gives her time to hit three approach shots into the green. That looks like Mr. Shimizu on her bag ... not sure, I haven't seen the caddie list. Amelia Lewis followed, also as a solo. It says MONEY on her bag ... has not seen a lot of that in her extensive ramblings.

Charley will be part of some kind of USWO video/movie this year ... she was wired for sound while playing the 4th green ... and no "Malbon bum" today. I don't know her coach, who has British accent. There is a "hydration" station nearby, dispensing warm water.

MHL was on practice scoreboard thru the second hole, but must have dropped out ... no point waiting at #4 anymore. No rendezvous today, unless we cross paths elsewhere. LEXI(tm), with big mob following along, is on the 4th green ... playing with Laisne and The Shinster.

Followed Shibuno Fever, playing solo, for 7 thru 9. Saw MHL from distance on practice green ... at same time, Su Ji Kim and SC Cheng started at #1, so I'm with them. Cheng has Cheeseburger Chad looping for her. Su Ji has a guy who must be her coach on her bag ... it's a plain black stand bag ... will she employ her tour trunk tomorrow?

Well, that was weird ... I waited at 3rd tee, Cheng teed off and started walking down the hill to cross the river. Su Ji vanished after playing #2 ... I found her on the practice green!

A volunteer said LCC removed 500 trees since the last USWO. For instance, sections of the 2nd and 9th fairways merge into one section of grass ... as opposed to being separated by a bunch of trees, now gone. No. 2 is now a lousy spectator hole ... you have to cross the fairway twice and you can't see where approach shots land.

Drops are starting to fall, as forecasted. Btw, the buffer zone is not as bad as I first thought ... you don't have to walk 50 yards down a fairway to travel between the 1st and 10th tees, like last time.

Brandel just gave some yackety-yack to Nichols and some other woman up in the open air GC booth. Lucky for the viewers that they don't hear the gas carts constantly zipping by.
