Annie is still good enough to sprout a 64 once a year. Unfortunately poor weather at the Dana last year miffed her chances, and Grant was playing out of her mind.
The good vibes are coming for Gina, she is paired with her best bud JB and Muni He gets to tag along. Yealimi gets to play with A Lim. Giant Lims reunite! They are flanked by Hira Naveed who is ahead of BOTH of them in CME off the strength of one finish.

On Friday, Ginny is grouped with two JLPGA winners (Katsu and Gillman), so I'll follow them for nine holes in the AM, then see if there is any good stuff in the food/drink sampler area around lunch time. Not sure about the afternoon ... Yuri/Bianca/Trivino and Penguin Princess/Yan Liu/Valenzuela are a couple of the better ones. The scoreboard may also change my movements.
The washouts teeing off between 2:20 PM and 2:36 PM Friday will have to contend with the worse winds of the day ... gusts of 23-27 MPH will hit between 2 PM and 6 PM ... 50% chance of a shower at 3 PM, which might be a welcomed softener of the greens. The temp will hit 80+ F at 11 AM and peak at 87 F at 4 PM.

Just started watching the coverage. The feature group is Shibuno and Saso. Whew, thank goodness they're showing them, we didn't get to see them enough last week! So Yubol is pronounced 'Yuban', and Thitikul is pronounced 'Thitikun'? Why not just spell the English version with an 'n' on the end?  |

Round 1 Can the three who are near the top -- Na Rin An, Jenny Shin and Lee5 -- remain in the hunt until Sunday? They are not known for their consistency, but this feels like the kind of course where anything can happen. The 4 and 3 unders are interesting. Jin Young was very solid today. Pity she didn't make the eagle on the 9th, her last, but otherwise a nice start. Even more excited to see 6ix putting up a good score. All three rookies had a nice day, too. I hope we see Yu Jin on the broadcast; I don't think I've seen her once this year! Hee Young Park and Inky might also make the cut. Stay tuned! Hwaiting!  |
