A field of 132 will get greased starting Thu., April 18. The just-completed match play was considered the last "qualifying" tournament for the LPGAers, but the field list on the LPGA website still has four vacancies ... I'm guessing three of them will be filled by the first three alternates (The Rocket, J. Song and Hartlage). The other opening is a tourney invite ... of course, you have the usual suspects (Muni, the Pink One, Crusty) available ... I'd prefer someone in need to get it, like Sandra Gal. It was already announced that Stanford received the other tourney invite (Old Ryu is in the field as a past champion). I'm guessing that the top-40 Rolex category is final, which includes The Shinster, Yamashita, Bang and Akie Iwai.

Youmin Hwang is now also top 40 as of this week. I wonder if she will try to get in?

sports.news.naver.com/golf/news/read?oid=382&aid=0001117119According to this article Min Ji Park was expecting to play the Chevron Championship. The same date that this article came out she was ranked thirty ninth Rolex Ranking. Also on the same day she lost two places and fell to Rolex Ranking forty-one. Maybe she will get an invite. It's typical of how the LPGA is runed now. I looked everywhere and could not find a final cutoff of non-LPGA ranked in top forty.

Also the Epson Tour will give full cards to the top fifteen players instead of top ten next year. That means the Q-School top ten will fall five more places below the top ten fifteen Epson winners. They used the excuse that they want better golfers, instead of telling the truth that they want less foreign golfers.

I hadn't picked up on this change. Regarding "better" golfers, look who's in the Epson top-15 in points ... Plata, Peng, Belac, Kaufman(!), KK Park, Weber, Stephenson, Doherty and Chung ... all retreads. If and when Epson bails out on this tour, they should be replaced by a tire company.

It's been a long time since one came through there I think. Hands down the top rookies each year come from the Asian tours. Then some in the media complain that those players are not 'real rookies' (it really gets my goat when one of the Golf Channel people tries to spin it that way). Hoo boy.

As aways, SoYeonFan never gets it right. The priority of the extra five Epson Tour exemptions is placed behind the Top-25 and ties from the Q-School. As such, it won't bother qualifiers from Korea because they're usually high up on Q-School rankings.

I would have got it right if the LPGA had explained that. All I saw was that they would give full cards to the top fifteen Epson players. Genuis why don't you show an article where they said that they would be ranked behind the Q-School winners. I know that I don't always get it right like Mister know it all. I was talking about the position that the Q-School qualifiers will be ranked before the shuffle.

Personally I support Valery as a fellow Spartan, but realistically, I think she made only one cut last year? (I didn't check but that's what I seem to recall.) When I saw her name at the top of the Epson list during last weekend's telecast... either she has really upped her game in the offseason... or the Epson tour is really weak...

The Epson Tour is stronger than ever this year. There is a ton of 1st and 2nd year talent that will keep it competitive. A lot of "fringe" players who simply had a down year on LPGA and/or poor Q school. I expect Jennifer Chang to bounce right back and hopefully Annie can earn her card back the hard way and get full starts for 2025.

The top ten on the Epson was ranked above the Q-Series early tournaments. I based it on that fact, so I made a mistake and there was no reason to insult me. I don't know if you make any mistake on your site because I have no desire to visit it.

Yes good friend 18majorsI've been banned from WRX for foul language. Didn't like that place much anyhow, I'll be on my best behavior too! This is a better place to discuss my favorites Annie, Yealimi, and Gina Kim!
