I know someone who was a solid 2 and he went to Haney for a bunch of lessons. Now he no longer plays golf. LMAO I would seriously shoot 110 if we played golf...I'd be laughing my a*s off for 4 hours.

It really makes no difference to me if Henderson wins or not (and make no mistake about it, there is no way she is going to lose; it's going to be mighty dull tomorrow). She's clearly good enough to win on tour. I just wish she didn't have so many free chances to play that have nothing to do with her talent. As I've said before, it's bogus that a non-member can play in so very many LPGA tournaments. But if she is going to earn a card, better she earns it with a victory than by amassing a ton of money through sponsors exemptions and earning a top 40 position on the money list. Happy Huh. The exception was Brooke's invite to the KPMG...otherwise .......Brooke is earning her appearances through either qualifying, Monday qualifying and using the standard six LPGA non-member invites. There's no reason why a non member Sista can't ask for invites too or qualify .....or Monday qualify for events. Looks like some non member Sista's need better agents if they want to follow Brooke's, Cheyenne, MW, etc path. There are 7 LPGA events where a lead or co-lead sponsor is a Korean based company....from a reliable source...JTBC is now a co-sponsor of Loren'a event......and there are additionally 11 Pac Rim based companies as lead sponsors and I think both Canadian events would be receptive of a Sista invite....so there's 20 events to start calling on. I don't think making one's way onto the tour as a non-member via top 40 earning is unreasonable....it is not an easy task to earn that much money...it's very difficult...just like it's not easy and difficult to win as a non member to earn membership too. Happy...you should relocate to Van City to rid yourself of the Merican racism that seems to get you all jacked up .....there are four H Marts here and tons of Korean golfers that you can play golf with....though I will admit the Koreans are reluctant to have foreigners join their 4some if there's an open spot.....but if you give them some gimbab...they are more receptive. FYI...if you play golf with a Korean lady...they will likely give you a cookie, energy bar or fruit, etc....I played yesterday with a new Korean lady and she along with other females have always handed out food to the members of the 4some.

Happy and Vern....are you coming up to watch the CP CWO...it will be the closest thing to watching a Pac Rim event without flying over the Pacific.
We can go get some AMAZING gimbap only 1/2 mile from the course.

As much as LPGA improves it's product nobody watches their events. The PGA Championship will dominate the ratings and the Golf Channel will report the LPGA winner briefly and then return to show highlights from the PGA. Yup...the LPGA will always only cater to a small niche market.

I like Brooke. Congrats to her. I wish her swing was as pretty as Lori Kane's. North America rules!

Do you guys think it is in bad form for Brooke to do the early exit from the green> They played in 3somes today...but in 2somes she should be there to witness her playing partner's game to protect the field.

This is a great event...yet continues to have dismal attendance.....maybe 200-300 people following the final group today...same as in 2013.

We can go get some AMAZING gimbap only 1/2 mile from the course. Regrettably, I can't attend. Work is so busy these days. Hey, I have to score the Pakpicker as well. Very impressive play from Brooke. It's a relief to have a star rise from our neighbors to the north. She's young, pretty and well-spoken. Here's to continued success. SooBin Kim did well. Just missed a top ten. Glad to see Ariya make a cut. I wonder if the tree-lined course compelled her to hit the ball straight?

Vern....quit working so much. 2012 was great and I expect this week to be better. I played with a guy yesterday...he said his daughter's coach is also SooBin's coach will be her loop this week. Likely Sue Kim and Jessica Wallace's coach too...a Korean guy....Jung? VGC is also Soo Bin's 'home' course. I'll have to see if Ariya is injured or if it's her lousy course mgmt. Yes, Columbia is a tree lined course....but IMO....not overly tight...just wait until you see Sahalee next year...now that's a bowling alley.

Looks like some non member Sista's need better agents if they want to follow Brooke's, Cheyenne, MW, etc path. True, but conveniently money doesn't count towards earning your card if it's earned in an event without a cut, and the Asian events are all that way. It's true that there are a few American events with cuts sponsored by Asian companies, and they have given sponsors invites to Korean gals (for instance, So Young Lee at his year's Lotte), but a Korean gal just isn't going to max out sponsors invites; there are too many good ones and not enough Asian sponsors to go around. In Gee managed two this year, which is frankly amazing. I also believe allowing anyone to Monday qualify is a joke. Again, there should be some advantage to having a card, and I think ability to enter the Monday qualifying should be restricted to those who have them. As I've said many times before, it's ludicrous to claim a teenager is too young to be a full member, but she can go from tournament to tournament all year trying to Monday qualify each week, which is even MORE pressure than a normal membership and just as much traveling/expense. So again: I would restrict to two sponsors invites (used to be that way), no Monday qualifying (used to be that way), and you can get into a few events based on world ranking/money list finishes on other tours (the Majors, maybe a couple other choice tournaments). Ps - the ones with crap agents are the non-exempt players, not the Koreans! They should be annoyed that their limited playing chances are made even less by these new rules.

Congrats to the Henderson who made the cut . It wasn't very suspenseful, but she certainly earned her card in style. As for the Sisters, the best news coming out of the Portland area was probably Hannah O'Sullivan winning the Am a few miles away (she's half Korean). But good job by Ha Na Jang collecting her third second place finish of the year. Although she had zero chance of winning this week, I feel like a trophy may be in her near future. And nice job by SooBin Kim and Ju Young Park, two rookies who have been kind of overlooked this year. Alas, not a great week by So Yeon, but still at top 20. Looking forward to her title defense next week. Fighting!

I'm all for anything that makes the Tour better. Brooke Henderson makes the Tour better. I'd rather the Monday qualifiers go to players who can actually play, rather than someone like Christine Song, who can barely break 80. Most non-exempt players are non-exempt because they're not very good.
EDIT: Jordan Spieth got into his tournaments during his rookie season through Monday qualifying and sponsor exemptions.
