It runs Feb. 22 -25. Nine of twelve invite positions have been filled ... the last two additions were Erika Hara and Shibuno Fever. Iwai 1 and 2, plus Hara will be among the first foreign pros to get all the LPGA goodies immediately if they win. MHL is #70 in a field of 72, so she looks safe. Narin An is the first alternate.

I'm guessing none of the Korean LPGA rookies from the KLPGA were invited, even though they all are higher ranked in the world than those Japanese players? I couldn't find the tournament field listing on the LPGA web site.

Look again ... tournament entries are posted when you pull up the event on the LPGA website.
Last year's field had no KLPGAers ... is there anyone on that tour sponsored by Honda?

My field rating for this event is a mediocre 62%,way down from 74.5% last year. My breakdown is 70% from the LPGA Priority List and 54% from the Rolex World rankings.
The field will be led by top ten players: Lilia Vu (1) Celine Boutier (3) Ruoning Yin (4) Jin Young Ko (6) Charley Hull (8) Hyo-Joo Kim (9) Top ten players not teeing it up this week: Nelly Korda (2) Minjee Lee (5) Lydia Ko (7) Atthaya Thitikul (10)
Other stuff: Only three LPGA players finished in the top ten in each of the first two LPGA tournaments. They are: Lydia Ko Ayaka Furue Cheyenne Knight
The LPGA has been off the last few weeks but there has been some major movement in the Rolex Rankings since I last reported before the Drive on Championship. Lilia Vu remains No. 1 for the 15th consecutive week. She has held that position for 24 of the last 28 weeks. Nelly Korda, who won the Drive on Championship, makes the most important move, as she moves from 4 to 2. Nelly holds the record for most weeks at the No. 1 position for a U.S. player with 38. Lydia ko jumps from 9 to 7. Megan Khang gets closer to the top ten as she moves from 14 to12. Ayaka Furue jumps up 24 to 20, while Cheyenne Knight rises from 56 to 47. Patty Tavatanakit, via her win on the European Tour this past weekend, surges from 70 to 43. Esther Henseleit (finished 2nd in that same event) rises from 108 to 76. Outside the top 100: Lucy Li (with two strong finishes) Catapults from 188 to 116. Austin Kim vaults from 335 to 208.
In the way to early to matter category, Mone Inami has taken the lead for the Rolex Rookie of the Year Award with 88 points. Austin Kim is in second place with 62.

Big Ryu/Porna/Stark

BadA$$/Galitsky/Yu Liu
The Yangster/Furue/Jasmine
I don't remember this.
Shibuno Fever is not 100% with Ping

The Asian swing tournaments are losing a small fortunate without Terminator. It's going to take a long time for the LPGA to balance the books.

Realistically, Jelly's kid won't be challenged on Tour until Inbee's squirt grows up.

Ting Ting is traditional Thai attire ... don't know if this is part of a photo shoot for the whole field.

I could swear I saw In Gee as an invite earlier, but she's not there. Maybe I was confusing it with HSBC...?

A few years ago, the starter at the Women's British Open announced a player as "Sung Hung Park" ... who is aka Terminator by fanofseri. BTW, that starter also announced a player as "Ho Jo Kim".
