This one runs Feb. 15-18 at Ryadh GC. They have 14 open spots in the field. I assume The Old Ko will return as defending champion, which would leave 13 vacancies. I just learned that Team Iwai will be playing here, so that leaves 11 vacancies. This event is one week before Honda, so I would expect some LPGA/KLPGA/JLPGA names to fill those spots. In the LET categories, they already have Grant, Hull, Pace, Henseleit, Ashok, AVD, Buhai, Krauter and Hedwall.

I've read articles indicating that So Mi Lee, Jin Hee Im and Yu Jin Sung all intend to go to this.
Yu Jin's plan is to go to the States this weekend and make her debut at the Drive-On Championship, after which she will train in Orlando, then go to Saudi Arabia for the Aramco and Blue Bay after that. Im and So Mi also will be at Drive-On.

BIG correction on my part ... most of the vacancies I went over earlier are related to the LET. Fifty foreign tour players within the Rolex top-300 are already listed on the website, but I didn't see them the first time because they were at the bottom of the field page and separated by a ton of LET reserves. MHL (aka The SSQ) could have been here, but declined. The Mini Rocket is going ... had no idea that she was 80th on Rolex.

The reserve list for Rolex top-300 players has expanded from three to seven. Jeong Mee Hwang (162) jumped into this one ... don't know who are the other three new additions.

I have no idea what the entry deadline is ... two players must have jumped in because Duncan and Law got dropped into the Reserves. I'm guessing the two newbies are The Yangster and Jin Hee Im. MHL might want to get into this as she is floating on and off the field for Honda ... currently "on" with the 72nd and last spot.

Boonchant got dropped into the scrub category ... I think she was replaced by Jeong So Yi (139) ... or is it So Yi Jeong?
For whatever reason, the JLPGAers are uninterested in this event ... as of now, only three have entered: The Shinster and Team Iwai. Perhaps they don't want to interrupt their off-season training since the JLPGA season starts one month before the KLPGA season.

Jeong So Yi (or So Yi Jeong) dropped out and LEXI (tm) replaced her, so Boonchant is still on the street.
Eight of the LET invite positions have been filled ... includes Ina Yoon, Muni, Castren and Bronte Law.

Why yes, it looks like Ina is an ina-vite!
Interesting... her people have been implying that she wants to take things slowly and not play until she feels she's ready to compete. This is going to be much higher profile than the Vic Open. Guess things must be going well for her. Or the sheiks made her an offer she couldn't refuse...

The latest Rolex rankings have been applied to the field ... The Ice Cream Princess was on the cusp of not making it, but moved up 68 spots on Rolex, so that's no longer an issue. Waen at #120 in the field might be a new addition ... otherwise, I think don't think there are any changes within the Rolex top-300 section. Boonchant took herself out of the running, so the new first alternate is Yubol. The LET invites have been completed with players I don't care about. They have two spots open for players getting a top-10 playing in Kenya the week before.
UPDATE: MHL moved up to #70 for Honda, so I don't think she needs to be in the KSA. She's the 2nd alternate for Singapore, so that might work out later, too.

I've searched many IGs and finally found a player to acknowledge her presence here.

Patty T and Georgia Hall have also shared stuff on IG. I presume players know whether they are “in” before they fly to Saudi. It’s not exactly the most open country for women if you’ve got some spare time!

V.E. Carta and Gina Kim ... shall we call them Team Duke or Team PXG?
Carta looked like something on Rolling Green's range at the 2016 USWA, but her pro career has been in slow motion to say the least ... played the LET full time in 2022 and 2023 and racked up only five individual top-10s ... you'd think an ex-NCAA champion could win at least once on this chump tour ... and better not take too long trying to figure out, she'll be 28 this year.

Darn... I'm not seeing Ina on the invite list anymore. I'll see if I can figure out what happened...
[EDIT]: the article above does not say anything about her but mentions that there are ten Koreans in the field. If you count the ones listed, they add up to ten without Ina in the list. So it looks like she had to drop out for some reason. Oh well, hopefully she will be ready for her next opportunity...
