Another 70 from Amy to sit in T5 on -6. Patty T still out in front and looks to be in the zone. Gave a good end of round interview so expect her to hold on for the win unless Charley rips it up tomorrow. So Mi Lee doing well on -4. My lack of sisters knowledge means I know next to nothing about here. Sorry guys but I will learn!

My lack of sisters knowledge means I know next to nothing about here. Sorry guys but I will learn! So Mi's consistent, with five career wins on the KLPGA. She has been in the top ten on the money list most years without ever being one of the top two. She was part of that famous rookie class of 2019 known as the Swing Girls, along with such stars as Hee Jeong Lim, Hyun Kyung Park, Ayean Cho and Ga Young Lee. I have written profiles of all the Koreans on the LPGA tour; here is the one for So Mi.

Round 3 Looks like Tavatanakit has this one in the bag. I can't see her losing, even though I suspect she has a weaker round coming up on Sunday (she's overdue). You've got to admit, Amy Yang has been consistent: three straight 70s. If she can find it in her to go low, she might still walk away with this one. If not, hopefully she can notch a top five towards her efforts to make the Olympic team. Min Byeol Kim played with Anne Van Dam and Linn Grant today, two of the most hyped players on the LET. Final result for the day: Min Byeol 68, Van Dam 72, Grant 72. Great day for her! Six birdies, two bogies, 15/18 GIR. 276 yards drive. Now tied for 15th, she is just three shots out of a top five, which is doable. With all the low rounds out there, I gotta feel one or two Koreans will get one tomorrow. Go Min Byeol! Force them to show you on Sunday!! So Mi also shot a 68 and is two out of a top five and 7 behind PT. Yeah, probably has no chance to win unless the wind kicks up, but why not go low and let's see? Yu Jin had the most frustrating week so far. Like on Friday, she was low (four under) coming in to the final few holes, and made bogey-bogey to finish. She came thisclose to also having a 68. She is t-15th and will be playing with Min Byeol tomorrow. Jiyai just doesn't have it this week. Everyone is entitled to a bad week now and again. Get some practice and prepare for Thailand! Hwaiting! Amy Yang had a lot of near misses today, including a near hole out and a lot of putts that burned the edge.

Jae Hee Kim has a nasty bug but is fighting hard to stay in the tournament. Golf stars -- they're just like us LOL: Jae Hee has been training in Kuala Lumpur and plans to return there after the event. Final words: Hwaiting!!

Min Byeol in round 2 In the first round, a violent sandstorm struck that caused the suspension of action for a while

The new "Perfect Lady" Min Byeol Kim and So Mi Lee had the same round six birdies two bogeys. Maybe a top ten final round also a top five is doable also Yu Jin Sung. Yu Jin Sung is playing really good except for a couple of bad finishes, bogey, triple and bogey, bogey. Looking forward to following So Mi Lee, Yu Jin Sung and Jin Hee Im at the Ford Championship.

It must have been The Yangster's incompetent twin that teed it up today.

Regarding Paphangkorn, Richard the broadcaster just said she "sucked the life out of the tournament". The LET highlight reel to be posted later will include her 3-wood that landed on the par-5 5th green like a wedge.
UPDATE: In her post-game chat, she just said it was a 5-wood at #5.
********
Is Jeong Mee Hwang the MHL of the KLPGA? None of you people care about her. Unfortunately, she's not helping her own cause ... less than 8K IG followers and hasn't posted anything new there since November. I can't find any pics of her from this tournament ... not on the LET picture archive and nothing in Naver/Daum.
*******
Minami Katsu on Saturday ... her Srixon Z-Forged II iron has '373' stamped in light blue on it ... I have no guesses on the meaning.

I'm not able to watch the final round today and based on the scores, I didn't miss anything. Yeesh, what a terrible finish to an otherwise decent week. At the start of the day I thought we might get as many as four in the top ten, and they only managed one, with some really poor scores all around for most of the Sisters. On top of that, PT put it away early, so there was literally no reason to tune in unless you are her biggest fan boy.
Highlights are few. Amy in particular really blew a great chance for a top five which would have really helped her Olympic efforts. After three solid days she couldn't do anything right on Sunday, shooting a 76.
Min Byeol also seems to have worked hard but with mediocre results. 2 over 74, five bogies, a day after she had no bogies. Her stat line doesn't look that bad, though, so it must have been one of those days where she made little mistakes that added up. Oh well, a top 20 would have been nice, but given this is her first ever desert golf event, and she beat some pretty big names, not bad.
Also bummed about Yu Jin, who was also in line for a top ten and fell apart on Sunday. Sigh.
The lone round in the 60s came courtesy of Jeong Mee Hwang. I'm actually a big fan of hers (and Jae Hee, who shot even par, also not too bad), but her result was about what I would have expected at the start of the week.
That leaves So Mi as the one sort of bright light, the only top ten. Looking at her stats, they are somewhat similar to Min Byeol's, but with three putts better and only one bogey. That's the difference: she was able to minimize mistakes, particularly on the greens.
So, two years for this event and so far it's been a pretty big bust for the Koreans. But taken as part of Winter training instead of a meaningful result, hopefully it will help them tune their game for when things get serious in May. Hwaiting!!

Good top ten for So Mi Lee which I expected from her. Looking forward to seeing her at or near the top of Rookie of The Year .
Jeong Mee Hwang has under achieved on KLPGA so far, expect her to have a great 2024. Also believe Yu Jin Sung will compete for Rookie of The Year
