I’ve no problem with Lydia winning. Preferable to any US golfer but that’s probably linked to how biased TV coverage is to them.

It's turning cold in Orlando Sat/Sun. Will be interesting to see what this does. I think this is one of Lydia's "home" courses so I expect to her to go as on and win it. Gotta give you credit, you called it after Friday's round, Bullfinch... "Root, root, root for the home team..." Congrats to Lydia!
Nice to see Hae Ran play a steady tournament and end up just missing top ten. She shot par or under in every round. Only ten golfers in the field did that. She started with a disastrous double on 1 today but hung in there and ended up with her best round of the week. Not spectacular, just steady.
I think I counted something like sixteen sisters in the field next week in Bradenton. Hoping for a more interesting tournament than this week.
The kids, Pano and Zhang, represented well. Hope that Alexa can keep the momentum going, and wishing Rose well with her studies for the next few months.
Finally dug the car out... official report here was 28 inches total in the last week and a half as of Saturday at 3 pm. Better than Michigan City and Laporte, IN, which reported 28 inches or more in a single day!
Go sisters!

Kids? Yeah. Us old folks. They're all kids.
Just for some context.
Rose Zhang is three months younger than Lee Yewon.

Hae Ran Ryu had five birdies but a double and one bogey.
Lilia Vu was only one under today, I wonder if she will have a letdown after her 2023 year. She more than likely won't do like Jennifer Kupcho did after her great 2022, to follow with an under achieving 2023.

Congratulations go to Lydia Ko! She made sure right away that there would be no tomfoolery around earning enough points to qualify for any future tournament this season.

I am calling this an SS win. She is a Korean oligarch now.

Hae Ran Ryu had five birdies but a double and one bogey. Lilia Vu was only one under today, I wonder if she will have a letdown after her 2023 year. She more than likely won't do like Jennifer Kupcho did after her great 2022, to follow with an under achieving 2023. Hoping that Hae Ran goes on to have a great 2024 to match her breakout in 2023 at the Walmart and concluding with winning the Suggs ROY. I would love to see her get the first of several majors of her career in 2024...
And I still keep hoping that Jen Kupcho will come back with more success. She is my favorite American who is not Asian-American. It's like she was on fire right about the time that she got married, the 'honeymoon.' Since then, it's just been blah for the most part. I'm talking about her golf. Hope her personal life is as great as ever.
Probably everyone on here knows how I feel about Lilia. Last year was amazing for her. 2 majors, 4 total wins, over $3.5 million earned. Suppose that this year she 'only' wins one major, only 3 total wins, and only $2 million earned. Would that be viewed as a 'letdown.' I hope not; hope that it will be seen as two consecutive years of some of the most successful LPGA golf by an American in decades. I also think that probably won't happen, not that I doubt Lilia. It's just that last year would have been a 'once in a lifetime' for anyone. But I would be so happy if it did happen for Lilia...
But think back to 2023, after Lilia won the Chevron for her second win of the year and her first major, she did go into a slump, a letdown, last year. Between her two major wins, she missed the cut in two of the other three majors. She went through over three months in which she did not make a single cut in a traditional stroke play event, between the Chevron and the Evian. The other two events, Bank of Hope match play and Hanwha, were not close to successful for her. Oh, I know, I bragged and hyped the nearly meaningless fact that she was the only golfer on any team to defeat a Thai at the Hanwha... but you know how I feel about Lilia...
So here we are in 2024. Lilia did something in 2023 that no American had done in decades. I didn't watch a whole lot of last week's tournament but during the time I was watching, I saw Lilia on the broadcast once. Granted, she did not have a great tournament. So I would expect a lot of tv coverage of the leaders, Lydia, Alexa (good for her!), Brooke, etc. Lots of Rose, she finished T7. The only person I saw less than Lilia (finished 18th) was Hae Ran (finished T12). I certainly got an eyeful of Nelly (finished T16, one stroke ahead of Lilia) and Maja Stark (finished T22, two strokes behind Lilia). I think that we even got to see some coverage of Danielle Kang. Where did she finish? Nine strokes behind In Gee and eight behind the 'one-tournament wonder' CW. (Maybe DK missed a ruling on preferred lies again?)
And the sponsor logos... Phil got me started on this when he pointed out last year, think I'm recalling correctly, that Polly Mack had more sponsor logos than Lilia Vu. Lilia has an obscure hardware chip manufacturer on her cap, and some obscure consulting or business services entity on her shirt collar. Maybe I should apologize for calling them 'obscure,' actually I should appreciate them, they support Lilia like I do and they back it up with $...
Best wishes for a great 2024 for all the sisters, especially the rookies, and for my favorite Americans, especially Jennifer Kupcho and beautiful Lilia Vu! Hoping that Jin Young and Sei Young can overcome their injuries and struggles of recent years, like it was 2019 again... Drive On this weekend! Expecting sixteen sisters in Bradenton.

The LPGA was completely defeated in the news media war this past weekend by a switch-hitting ringer who looks like Don Drysdale.
