Anyone could win (Lilia, Angel, Karis Davidson.) Almost certainly not Sagstrom in the clubhouse; unlikely Hye-Jin with only two holes to gain strokes. Nishimura, Ariya, and Yoktuan still have a chance with a few holes to move up...

Hye-Jin tied for the lead and in the clubhouse tied for the lead! Probably won't hold up as the others finish but still a great performance! Eight birdies no bogeys, minus-8 for the final round! Hye-Jin, Davidson, Lilia, and Angel... what a finish! As the female Aussie announcer just said, "Hope you're enjoying it..." But don't count out Ariya, NEVER COUNT OUT THE THAIS!

Congratulations to Angel Yin, winner of the 2023 Buick LPGA Shanghai, on her first LPGA career victory! Wish I'd stayed awake to see it...
Congrats also to Lilia Vu ("I love you") who finished 2nd to Angel on the first playoff hole, and to sister Hye-Jin Choi who finished T3, one stroke back.
Sei Young WD; the remaining four sisters finished in the top 25, all within five strokes of the winner.
On to ROK for the BMW next weekend...

MHL moved up six spots to #63 on CME ... all she has to do is show up at these no-cut events and she's almost guaranteed to glide right into Tiburon. She lost a little ground in the Sand Save % race ... Grace Kim is first at 63.64% and MHL is second at 62.90%.
As expected, she brought in Sir Nick ... hiring a local who only spoke Chinese would not have been smart.

Did Celine Borge hire a local?

Great round of sixty-four by Hye Jin Choi to move up to a tie for third place. I didn't see the Broadcast, but I bet they showed -7 Rose Zhang more than Hye Jin Choi
Nice top twenties by Mi-Yang Lee and A Lim Kim.

Actually, I was pleasantly surprised by the balance of the coverage. I did not see the end of any day (night for me) so I may have missed something. I only saw Rose a couple of times over all the rounds. Maybe she is not getting the hype in Australia that she gets in the US. Hye-Jin started to show up on the broadcast during the middle of Sunday's round when she began contending for a spot near the top of the leaderboard.

I only saw Rose a couple of times over all the rounds. Maybe she is not getting the hype in Australia that she gets in the US. Hye-Jin started to show up on the broadcast during the middle of Sunday's round when she began contending for a spot near the top of the leaderboard. When I realized Hye Jin was in contention, I decided to watch. After a while I got frustrated by them only showing the usual gang, so I skipped through the coverage. I don't recall seeing HJ until the final hole, which she also birdied, although it's possible I missed her somewhere. I sure saw Zhang a lot, though. Hye Jin was tied for the lead for like an hour and a half, but alas Vu and Yin made really late birdies and that was enough to eliminate Choi. Glad at least Angel won instead of Vu for the 20th time. Still, an 8 under 64 is awesome! Choi actually had a chance to win. No mistakes all day. Great stuff, her second top ten of the year. Now she needs to follow that up with a win in Korea. Now that Hae Ran has got her trophy, we need Hye Jin to get hers at last. The other Sisters did OK; Mi Hyang and A Lim got top 20s, and Hae Ran was 21st. So all in all, not a bad week. Hwaiting!
