According to the male Aussie announcer, "This is the world #1, Lilia Vu... very colorful!" He was apparently referring to her outfit, and please give me some slack, my color judgment or interpretation is often quite inaccurate according to my wife... a yellow or orange-yellow color skirt and a multi-color patterned shirt. It would be great to see Lilia post a third round score as attractive as her clothing... she still trails the four leaders by five strokes but even worse, there are twenty golfers ahead of her. She needs to make a big move today on 'moving day.'

Lexi just failed to make the cut. Valiant effort. Just to be clear, I liked this comment because Lexi made a valiant effort. I was hoping that she would make the cut too. It was great to see Lexi competitive with the men and not blown out by a dozen strokes. I was not surprised that she was competitive after the way she's been playing during and after Solheim, really since the Kroger in Cincinnati. She actually came closer to making the cut with the men than she did in multiple LPGA tournaments earlier in the year when she was struggling. |

They don't show Bailey Two or Angel Yin although both are doing well this round. Bailey Two won't make CME unless she puts on a big run in the last round and a half but she looks like she's wrapped up her card for next year. I guess that this Australian broadcast only has so many cameras not like a USA or European tournament. And they love to focus on Danielle Kang.

I watched the last five holes by MHL via the Chinese broadcast on the Sina Golf site ... hit her ball into many bad places on #17 and #18, but lost only one stroke.

I was in bed by the time DK reached the 18th green ... even before this, it sure looked like she wanted to be this week's Tour Turtle.

Round 3 I watched a little of the coverage. On one hole, Danielle was trying some kind of flop shot thingie from near the green and completely whiffed the ball. I don't think I've ever seen that. Needless to say, her next try was a chip, which rolled thirty feet past the hole. And yeah, that took about three minutes or so of screen time, or at least it felt like that. Mi Hyang had a great day, although her last few holes were dicey. She's the only Sister anywhere near the lead, two back. Hae Ran shot a 69 and is t-20, just behind Zhang. She's six back, so a win seems unlikely, but I would love to see her make a run at least (well, we won't see her because they won't show her, but you know what I mean). Hye Jin and A Lim we not so nifty, but they are just a shot further back. So at the least, we have three gals who have a shot at top tens and one in actual contention. Go get 'em! Hwaiting!  |

Lexi's not here; the Kordas aren't here, so they have to pick a well-known popular American to point the cameras at... I'm surprised it hasn't been Rose Zhang. But Danielle actually makes sense as she is the only player to ever win this tournament. It's been played twice, in 2018 and 2019, and DK won both. This is first time back since Covid. All of the first three days, the Australian coverage has started by following only a few groups. But about midway through the round, they begin to catch up with the players in other groups that are having a really good round. I saw that happen last night with Bailey Two and Angel Yin, but fell asleep shortly after that.

And Hye-Jin's plugged in too! Probably not enough holes left for her to catch all three of Vu, Yin, and Stark, but in solid position to hold a top ten and likely a top five. Mi Hyang treading water but still in a good position, also tied with Hye-Jin. Sisters! And Lilia and Angel!

They need to keep showing Hye-Jin on the broadcast. She is in a position where it's possible for her to win. Not likely but certainly possible...
