This is turning into a great battle. I still think Youmin is going to take it, but Bang is right there with her in the final group tomorrow. They'll be bombing it past So Mi, but don't count the wily vet out; she's just a birdie behind them.
Meanwhile, what would a rookie party be like without Min Byeol? She's in the penultimate group; though she is only at +23, it's not impossible for her to take this if she has a day tomorrow like So Mi and Shin Sil had today. Even if she doesn't, she should aim for a top five to mitigate any damage to her ROY lead if one of the others win.
Ji Hyun Lee 7 is just a birdie out of the top ten, and she could use a great finish to shore up her card.
Hard not to make this all about the rookies, but Hee Jeong Lim is having a strong week, and she and a bunch of other stars are planted at +21 waiting to make a run.

Why didn't I ask this before? It hadn't occurred to me. I'm thinking out loud.
I'm reminded of kpop slave contracts suddenly for some reason.
How many KLPGA players don't use dedicated caddies? For example, Yewon used some of her coaches as caddies. I don't know where she got her current caddy.
I'm curious what the thinking is. "I'm a KLPGA pro so I'll use local course caddies, especially since I'm not trying to get to the LPGA."
"My endorsement deals don't include or have enough cash to pay for a special dedicated caddy."
Does it depend on sponsors?
Golf is not cheap when it comes to training etc. Money is behind everything.

Just tuned in ... after nine holes, Human is eating Bang's dust  ... okay, I don't have to watch this anymore ... over in China, MHL is eating almost everyone's dust ... barring a radical change in the next 30 minutes, I don't have to watch this anymore ... and if the JLPGA is geo-blocked again later, I won't watch that. |

Bang was amazing today; there was little chance she was going to lose after the first six or so holes. I think Hwang was a little intimidated and nervous and she never got back onto her horse after that. She was so impressive the first two days that I tend to forget that she's still very young and new as a pro, and sometimes it's hard to deal with your emotions the first few times you are in that situation.
Min Byeol Kim had a lot of trouble with the putter this week, but she got hot on the back and actually caught her rival. So all three rookie stars finished in the top five. It won't be the last time that happens.
Great week for So Mi, but she ran into a freight train in Bang. Nice rally for Su Ji and Hyun Kyung as well.
Interesting how loud the crowds were for Bang and Hwang (especially Bang) but not for Kim and the others. There were times where Min Byeol hit a great shot and there were a few scattered golf claps and that was it. But when Hwang was intro-ed on the final hole, the crowd went WILD. And when Shin Sil won, they actually started chanting her name! Of course, part of the excitement was cause Bang was winning and the others weren't. But with this second win, I wouldn't be surprised to see her become the most popular star on the tour.

tv.naver.com/v/41399281Congratulation to Shin Sil Bang for her first win. Min Byeol Kim quit dragging your feet and get your first win I didn't get to watch the Broadcast or the LPGA either. After the second round I thought that Yu Min Hwang may win and maybe take over the Rookie of The Year Race. Hee Jeong Lim did not have a good day so maybe another bad pairing next Tournament. However, her tee to green is good, so she just need more consistent good putting. Shout out to Mighty Mite Seung Yeon Lee who hung in there for a top ten. This is the fifth straight Tournament that Min Ji Park hasn't had a top ten I believe.

Min Byeol did not have a really great week and yet she still managed a top five. When she gets her ducks in order I expect her to get a win or at least come really close.
