Does Kat Muzi get to play in these tournaments in the Far East? USC disrespected her for 4 years. Maybe Whan will give her a break.

Fantastic if somewhat undramatic win for Hyo Joo! Apparently she plays well on this course most of the time, so she was probably overdue a win here. Anyways, fabulous day for her! I was just the slightest bit worried that one of those bombers who was sneaking up the leaderboard was going to make it interesting, but Hyo Joo put a cap on that by making birdie on a hole that only four others had birdied that day. Then the bombers all missed eagle on 17, and that was pretty much that. Hyo Joo is going to be an aunt! https://www.instagram.com/p/CyKHMeqrkYx Here is the winning champagne moment https://www.instagram.com/p/CyJuqRvuimW This is now the third straight year she has managed a single win. She also pads her lead in the Vare Trophy race. Rooting hard for her to close that one out! They just didn't show So Yeon, I think even once. I figured she must have bombed out, but she finished 7th! Every other player tied for 7th or better got some screen time. Sigh. Anyways, great to see her get a top ten in her adopted home state! And they had this adorable interview with her as well, so that's awesome. 'Sacrifization' is my new favorite non-word. https://www.instagram.com/p/CyHly_itiaj The rest of the Sisters struggled a little. It was an OK week for Six, top 30; A Lim had some great moments, and so did Jenny. None of them had a great week, but any forward progress is always nice. Congrats again to Hyo Joo on her long overdue win for this season! Hwaiting!

Based on what I see online, except for cash earned this week, Muzi has nothing ... no LPGA status, no Epson status, no CME points, NOTHING .... did they say something different on the broadcast? Her name is in the Monday qualifier field for the Mannika tournament. I assume she has gotten better since Eun Jeong Sung stomped her at Ridgewood CC in 2016 ... and where is Sung these days? (probably driving the range picker cart at the Sky 72 club)

So the key seems to be: if the Koreans play in events where the trophy looks like the map of the state where the event is, they win! I'll see if I can convince my home state tournaments, the Meijer and the Dow, to redesign their trophies! And the Dana too, you may remember my posts about how the state boundary was 'moved' in the 1830s to 'steal' what is now the Toledo metro area from Michigan and put it in Ohio.
Somehow I don't think my efforts would work... so let's support the sisters as they go for THREE IN A ROW this coming weekend in Shanghai!

Shout out to Pagdanganan, Thitikul (don't EVER count out the Thai golfers) and Knight but they were not going to catch Hyo Joo. They had great rounds but they were too far behind. Hyo Joo is going to be an aunt! Congrats to Hyo Joo! They just didn't show So Yeon, I think even once. I figured she must have bombed out, but she finished 7th!
