By my math, all the Koreans are already eliminated except Six, Ji and Sei Young. Sei Young still can get in by beating Knight (she hasn't started yet) and winning a playoff. Six is one down to Henderson, but if she can win (she has to win) she can force a playoff with Schubert, who is already 4 up on Yae Eun and is almost certainly going to have 2.5 points after this. Henderson is probably out of it, too, even if she holds on and wins, but a win would give Six 2.5 points.
Of course, how far either of those ladies will get in the match play is a good question. But it would be nice to get at least two through!
Ji is already 2 down early to Linn Grant, but if she can rally and win she has a shot.
I'm not sure we have ever had a match play where no Koreans made it though to the round of 16, but there's a real chance it could happen here. Hope not! Sisters hwaiting!

Six lost, she's out, as are Hae Ran and A Lim Kim. Ji is three down at the turn and will probably be eliminated. Sei Young is the last chance to send someone through.

No Koreans advanced. USA got five through: I'll be rooting for Angel Yin.
Looking good for Europe ahead of the Solheim cup.

The hatred of Gimmee by you people is a total puzzle to me.
DK also has no use for her.

Pretty disappointing result for the Koreans, but whatever. Really, some of them played decently and just missed out by a few shots here and there. Hae Ran had two wins and lost because A Lim tied Wright instead of beating her. Jenny Shin had two wins but was in a group with someone who had three. Sei Young tied in her final match; had she won she might have advanced. Even Six got a win and probably should have had two but for an epic choke on the first day. Basically, every time they needed a break of any kind they didn't get it. But that's match play. Just too much randomness, so I'm glad it's not something we see too often. Well, I guess it's back to the KLPGA for this weekend!

I picked the Doosan winner out of the last 16 players ... now for a repeat performance. I'm going with Grant ... I haven't seen the brackets, but she should end Darquea's fantasy ride real quick, while the other "name" players are wearing out each other. Grant has been a quick study as a pro and she played against a few better pros on the KLPGA. Did you see her interview yesterday? She's an imposing figure ... I'll bet she can spin the ball better than the other 15, which will help a lot on these greens.

I don't hate the former UCLA Bruin Alison Lee, although I wanted So Yeon little sister Danielle to win. I am really glad that Allison is starting to play like she is capable of.

You pick Grant after watching her get owned on the KLPGA a few weeks ago? Well, in this lackluster field she might still win, but I was underwhelmed. That won't stop the Golf Channel from touting her as the greatest thing since buttered bread, of course.

It's just been a rough weekend. Just keep the faith and always support the sisters! Six looked good for the first nine, "That's my Lee6," and I continue to hope that some day she will show some consistency to match her sometimes frequent brillance. Lilia Vu, "I love you!" but my support did not help her. Saturday morning, I was cheering for Angel Yin (what is the problem with the sponsors, she's great and on the verge of big success!) but she'll have to wait for the next tournament. Also Alison (I'm picking Lee!) made the round of 16 but no further. I even cheered for Sophia Schubert; it would have been great to see a new name who'd been struggling for years finally have some success.
So Sunday morning I'm supporting Anannarukarn and Furue and let's see what happens... as HF said, match play is just crazy randomness...

Should be a great match between Pajaree Anannarukarn and Araka Furue. Guess what the Golf Channel will be forced to focus on their match.
I wouldn't put to much emphasis on winning on the LET Tour. Lin Grant is a good golfer that will probably have a really good LPGA Career.

Well, yes, the Golf Channel was forced to focus on Anannarukarn vs Furue... except when they were giving nearly hole by hole coverage of the NFL player amateur exhibition. At least they raised money for a good cause. I know, I know, during a match play final there's a lot of dead time since there are no other groups on the course to switch to...
On a more serious note, can anyone advise on the proper pronunciation of Anannarukarn's first name? Morgan and Grant have been saying "PAJ-uh-ree" or almost clipping it to "PAJ-ree" with the emphasis on the first syllable while Abbott has been saying "puh-JAR-ee" with the emphasis on the middle syllable.

Congrats to Pajaree Anannarukarn! Not much doubt that the Thais have become formidable golfers. As the GC announcers reminded us, Pajaree didn't even make the Hanwha team. It would be interesting to see a variation of the Solheim with USA vs Asia or even North America vs Asia (let Brooke Henderson have a chance to qualify for the team too.)

Congrats to Meaw. Anyone who has Chicken of the Sea as a cap sponsor is ok in my book.
