It doesn't matter what Ranking Princess Mary Superal has. She out played the other golfers and should be congratulated instead of demeaning her. I think that there was a player on the KLPGA Tour Ranked over 200 that won this year. So Yeon missed putts wasn't the reason she finished second, it's possible the three double bogeys was the cause. That would be my guest.

That would be my guest. I'm not demeaning anyone; I'm just saying that it's really unusual for an unranked player who has had almost no history of success anywhere to suddenly step up and beat top ten in the world players. Are you saying it isn't unusual? So Yeon's doubles killed her chances for the win; had she shot 72 yesterday she would have been in a playoff. All I said was that she was not making the putts she needed to make on the back nine to have any chance to pull it out. She played great, though, which was fun to see.

WTF happened to Natasha Oon?? When I went to bed, Natasha had finished her round and was in solo 4th with a -5 on the day. When I woke up, her 3 rounds were adjusted to 79-84-90 and she's one place out of DFL. Did she not sign her scorecard all 3 days? I scanned through the rest of the video, but didn't catch any explanation. The Malaysian golf rags are just reporting her adjusted scores matter-of-factly. Mystery solved...sort of. A 41-stroke penalty for an "undisclosed violation?" This makes the EMP's 'inappropriate remarks" pale in comparison. Serves the MGA right for not inviting KT to begin with. Natasha gets 41-stroke penalty at Asia Pacific Cup
www.nst.com.my/sports/golf/2022/08/824057/natasha-gets-41-stroke-penalty-asia-pacific-cupKUALA LUMPUR: It was a week to forget for Malaysian golfer Natasha Andrea Oon at the Asia Pacific Cup, which concluded in Jakarta today.
The 21-year-old thought she had finished fourth, but her joy was shortlived after a twist of events saw her being handed a 41-stroke penalty for an undisclosed rule violation.
As a result, she dropped second from bottom of the 44-player standings with a three-day total score of 37-over 253 following rounds 90, 84 and 79.
Before the violation, she had rounds of 74, 70 and 68 for a four-under 212, eighth strokes behind Princess Mary Superal of the Philippines.

Some interesting factoids and comments were sprinkled through the broadcasts ... here's one I hadn't heard before from Round Three starting at 1:55:18 -
One of the weaknesses of her game, So Yeon Ryu, I've always thought she's ... her chipping actions leaves a little to be desired ... she's a bit steep, she doesn't rotate her body, hands are a little bit far ahead of the ball ... you compare it someone like Lydia Ko who's just got beautiful technique ...
The person who said it:

The article above finishes with this line:
The Asia Pacific Cup is part of an ambitious new money-spinning Ladies Asian Tour Series of tournaments that began in June and will include events in South Korea in September and Singapore in December.
Huh?! What's that about? Exactly when and where ... and with whom?
********
I, too, made the mistake of assuming that Her Excellency Princess Mary Superal was in the Rolex rankings ... and she's still not in it as this event produced no points. The broadcast listed her four professional wins coming into this one ... now we know that you get no ranking points from tournaments that pay out it in pineapples and coconuts. Now is the time for her management company to prove its worth ... she is way too good to be slumming the Asian scrub tours. She passed the JLPGA q-school at the end of 2019, but didn't follow up on that due to the pandemic-delayed sked ... Japan doesn't owe her anything, but a sponsor invite or two would create a lot of good buzz ... and who says she can't win there? Take a look at the Round Two video at 34:57 ... that's when she sold me ... pulled off a downhill flop shot out of Bermuda from off the 8th green ... that was a man's shot, a PGA Tour shot. Moments earlier, Ryu tried her version of this shot and skulled it into Palookaville ... that was one of my shots. Oh, and Super-al rolled in about a 10-footer afterward to save par. Her full swing looks quite sound and I like how she usually pulls the trigger fast ... I assume her mind is uncluttered. She's seems to have adequate length and is not built like a weakling. I don't think she hit a bad putt all week ... although it probably helped greatly that she had played this golf course several times before (per a comment on the GolfWrx forum). Btw, I looked up her 2014 U.S. Girls win ... she did not beat any future big-time pros in her matches (Gillman is the only real "name"), but I'm more impressed with her qualifying ... finished T-4 with a 142 in Flagstaff, AZ (6718 yards ... thin air, maybe? ).

What I've read is that the events in Korea are already existing KLPGA events that are being added to the LAT's schedule; the KLPGA is part of the LAT agreement. The article mentioned the Korea Women's Open. Obviously, those events will not have a team setup like here, but will they have a lot of non-Koreans? Not clear.

Event in December in Singapore is also already on the KLPGA schedule - sponsored by Hana Financial. Co-sanctioned with LAT. I hope it's a regular tournament, not a team event, but will have to wait and see.
