It's almost time ... is it possible to pick up this thread and drop it into the tournament bucket?
The website hasn't posted any YouTube details yet ... fyi, Jakarta is 11 hours ahead of the U.S. east coast.
A few pics ... haven't seen any yet for Teams Oz, China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and others.

No caddie list has been posted, but I found this pic of Natasha Oon going over the yardage book with her loop. ******** The Malaysian team still has their captain listed as the one-named "Sara." She must be the Cher of Malaysia. ******** Her Royal Highness Princess Mary Superal will grace this tournament with her presence, on behalf of the Philippines.

Now that you mentioned her name Princess Mary Superal I had to look her up. Because I will always remember her US junior Ladies Amateur win. The last I remembered she was on the JLPGA Step Up Tour.
She got a third place finish July 22nd on the Thai/ Philippine Tour? She also won the Honor of Merit 2019 on Philippine Tour, I believe.

Thursday's eleven foursomes will go out on split tees starting at 7 AM ... no times on when this will be shown on YouTube. Gabby R. (Oz) dropped out and was replaced by Cassie Porter. Looking forward to the return of ex-LPGAer P.K. Kongkraphan (THA) ... well, NOT really.
The KLPGA Pride of 2010 at practice.

The amateurs here will have to pass up on the team prize money, right?

Team Shibuno
Kiriko Shibuno(a) does not have a ranking on WAGR ... time to put this brutish swing to use in a few relevant competitions:

The YT button on their website now redirects to this channel. It's not encouraging...just 3 short dancing videos and no indication they'll have any live coverage. There's a link to their IG: https://www.instagram.com/p/ChWCVsqBbhm

Agreed ... the website says "Live broadcast throughout 20 countries worldwide" ... but which ones? How? I saw nothing on the Golf Channel sked for Aug. 18-20 ... maybe they plan to show it at 2 AM next Tuesday. JTBC Golf will have it LIVE at Noon on Thursday, which probably means no free streaming anywhere.

Bad news: The Instagram of the High Exalted Mystic Princess Mary Superal is private. She has Facebook, but hasn't posted there in about 3 1/2 years. Someone once thought she really was royalty:

Round 1 Every team seems to have their weak spots. You get Lydia Ko playing with an extremely obscure partner, for instance. In the case of So Yeon Ryu and Bo Mee Lee, you had two great players who have fallen on hard times lately. But kudos to them, they really delivered in round one! So Yeon looked like the So Yeon of old, and Bo Mee was dialed in with her irons. As a result, So Yeon captured the first-round lead, Bo Mee was tied for fourth two back, and they quickly grabbed a nine-shot lead in the team competition. This is not exactly a Major-level event, but it sure would be great to see So Yeon capture a win here (singles and team!). Hope she can keep it up! Hyo Joo was not solid at all, but she still ground out an even par start. Her partner, You Min Hwang, was pretty impressive for a gal who only just advanced to the Dream Tour this week. I hope we continue to see her in action the next two days. Yealimi was a mess. But I'll give her a pass because of the long flight she had to deal with. Lydia played well, but it didn't hurt that she chipped in for eagle on the final hole. She's one back. Smiling Cinderella had a major meltdown on 18; did you see it? She hit her second into some rough, then duffed her third. She reacted by smashing - HARD - her club into the grass. It was a full-on Hurricane Grace moment. She duffed her fourth as well, then, without any prep, just stepped up to the ball and chipped it sideways into the fairway. Somehow, she made a ten-foot double bogey putt, but she was really p*ssed. Good luck to the Sisters! Hwaiting!
