There's very definitely an Ugly American vibe among some of the American LPGAers. Meanwhile someone like Karrie Webb - I'm not a fan, Like who?...Kerr, Lewis, The Pink One, MW, Xtina? I'm not a fan of Webb, neither.

My back hurts...I'm leading the event...but I'll still destroy you.

So far the sisters are doing fine. Ha Na and Q Baek are on top of the leaderboard. Inbee and the other sisters are in the hunt.
Sei Young had a strange round. She had seventeen pars and one birdie.
So Yeon had me a little worried. She was near the cut line for the first sixteen holes. Birdies on the last two holes changed that. Hopefully, she at least gets a top ten.
I do not think that the so call image of Ha Na is funny. However to each his own!

Round 2 was fun! It was great to see Q Baek on the coverage; I honestly can't recall the last time we caught sight of her, but it's been a couple of months at least. I'm rooting for her to keep going and get a win or at least a top five. But I like Ha Na Jang, too, so I'm hoping she keeps it up as well and that her back doesn't cause her too much more grief. Also nice to see Inbee and Hyo Joo in the top 20 and within range, and look, even Birdie Kim is going to make the cut! Sisters Fighting!

GC is showing a replay of Round Two this morning and will do the same for Round Three on Sunday morning. Ha Na Jang is the happiest Hulk you'll ever see ...check out her interview at lpga.com. Mi Hyang Lee crammed her way into the TV coverage with a 68, -3 overall. Where was her regular loop Ivan? Some old-timer was on her bag. It looks like she's cycling through her USWO outfits: Round One Round Two

Phil I know you're a gear head....WRX sometimes sends a photographer to domestic LPGA events....but most often they are at domestic PGA events. Looks like Cally Apex & Apex pros are the irons of choice followed by TM's RSi irons. You'll see some pics of MHL and the old guy on her bag. Belen Mozo is often a fav photographed cause lots of WRX members like her, me included. www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/1210848-2015-lpga-marathon-classic-discussion-thread/

Hmmmmm....Sista's sitting 1,2 & 3 and paired together due to early morning tee times to avoid PM poor weather.
I don't know if it's a good thing that The Hulk, Q Baek & Chella are paired together...they may have too much fun and let others chase them down. Could tomorrow be Chella's Dad's retirement party?
Did Baek choose Q....as in QB....quarterback?
It's a shame they can't show this live vs. a replay of the mickey mouse, American Century event.

Round 3 has set up a pretty interesting final round. Since we saw almost no action thanks to the rain delays, I'll focus on what's at stake for tomorrow. Ha Na Jang is the only one of the KLPGA star rookies not to have won on the LPGA tour yet. She's been leading all week, seems confident, so if her back doesn't betray her, this could be an important day for her. Q Baek has really struggled all year, so having her playing with Jang in her first Sunday final group of the year is going to be helpful I think. Really if either lady wins I'll be happy, but I'll be especially rooting for Q to break through. Good luck to her! Speaking of breakthroughs, Chella Choi is your third final group player. She has shot 66-65 in the past two rounds. Could this finally be the week she gets that elusive first win? In the group before this is both Inbee Park and Lydia Ko, both close enough to win. Ko has won here last year, but Inbee seems to rise to these kind of pairings really well. Then there's Hyo Joo four shots back. This is a course that should suit her game well, so watch out for her. Hoping for an exciting final day. GO SISTERS!!! HWAITING!

mr3putt, thanks for the links to the pictures. I dropped a note on Larry the Looper's blog about Mi Hyang's regular caddy Ivan Galdame. His reply: "He worked for Sophia Popov I was told." Yikes, that is a HUGE downgrade! He'll starve with her. Maybe he got canned (which makes no sense, but this is the LPGA)...or maybe he's paying back a favor to someone. Let's see who's on her bag next week...heck, I should put in for the job...I can add and subtract...and she knows my loyalties! Ivan is in the second collection of WRX pictures, near the bottom (blue Nike shirt and blue sneakers w/orange laces). Larry posted this story yesterday: Jeff Steffler worked for a young Korean player – who’s’ nickname is “Five”- at the 3rd Stage Q-School last year and even thought she didn’t make it, gave him high praise when finished.
“You’re the best caddie I ever had.” she said
“Who was your previous caddie?” Jeff asked.
“My mom.” she answered.
Maybe it wasn’t as high as I thought.
******************** Another sold week so far...

Finally!! Congratulation to Chella for her first win. Dad can finally take a break, maybe.
I was really hoping Ha Na would win, but Chella would have been my second choice.
I guess Lydia's dad during a little coaching. Did not hurt her game to much. He need to get her away from Ledbetter, before she has back problems like Se Ri developed.

Congrats to Chella. I never want to see par on on a par 5 win....I always like to see a birdie. The Hulk was too amp'ed up and sailed her approach in the playoff.
I still expect dad to be on Chella's bag for a while....I think she's too dependent on him....and it would be difficult for her to find a suitable replacement.
Man does Chella play slow. Jerry knows the LPGA tour and stopped the interview once he knew Chella would struggle with other questions.
So that was MHL at the celebration....was the other gal a Chinese pro?...and was the white guy the Volvik rep? Volvik must be happy...now they can change their commercial with a LPGA winner.
Volvik needs to develop a really good urethane ball if the want to play in the ball market....I've found a couple Volviks...but they feel like rocks. I also found a XXIO ball...but it looks and feels like a rock too.

I didn't realize Q is so young.
Paige finished DFL....time to become a F/T GC personnel.
I know a lot of fanboys want Alison Lee to be a Captain's pick for Solheim....but based on current form....it would be hard to overlook Ernst as a pick....Juli is gonna have some hard decisions....she may very well disappoint some pros, including Korda.

Q Baek turned 19 the week she won her LPGA event last year, so not only is she young, she's even younger than Hyo Joo and In Gee.

Nomination for quote of the year: Chella Choi, when asked about whether her dad could now retire, responded something like: 'Yes! Yes, Bye Bye to Dad!' OK, I'll admit I was rooting for Kyu Jung Baek, and she was playing well enough to win until that unforced error on 16. Still, this top five is her first since joining the tour, so congrats to her on a really good tournament. Once Q knocked herself out, I was hoping Ha Na Jang would triumph. She really lost her chance to get it when she tied Choi with par on the final hole. The whole time on that hole, I was expecting Jang to make birdie, negating Choi's chances, since she took four shots to even reach the green. But no! She missed the short birdie try, and one hole later Choi was champ. SO GLAD to see Chella finally get that win. I just regret that Judy Rankin didn't see it, as she has been on the Chella bandwagon for a long time. I also think that Choi will use her dad a few more times until they can transition more organically. Great day for Hyo Joo as well (top five!), so that means the four KLPGA star rookies finished 2nd, 5th, 5th and 14th (Sei Young Kim). So Yeon Ryu also rallied for a 14th. Inbee practically had steam coming out of her ears. She may not throw clubs, but I can't see how you can say she doesn't show emotion. Hopefully she'll get the flat stick working in time for the British, the one event she REALLY wants to win. Congrats, Chella!
