A tip for the gambling degenerates gaming fans: it's been played 11 times with 11 different winners.
Monday's qualifier field is set at 48, but maybe a lucky player can avoid it as there are two invitee positions still open.

Hee Jeong Lim was added today for one of the two invitee spots.
Also, someone dropped out, because Papp came off the Monday qualifier list and is now in the field.

So, if Hye Jin gets into the field, what does she have to do to qualify for Chevron? It's hard to win ROY if your main rivals all get many more chances to play.

It was always going to be hard for any Rookie to over take Atthaya Thitikul. Hye Jin has a chance to get in the Chevron field of 120, she is 117 in this one. However some of the top players that skipped this one will be in the Chevron. With her Rolex Ranking she has a good chance to get in the US Women Open. Other than that she needs to play good enough to improve the first reset of the Priority list.

MHL grouped with Gillman and Gin Kim tomorrow.

Logistically this tournament is ideal. It's 31 miles and should take about 28 minutes. Parking is near the entrance and the price is low. The tournament is only $20 per day. Aviara will look beautiful on the delayed broadcast but poorly-conditioned super seniors struggle on the front nine walk. I prefer to hang out on the upper level driving range. You can stand near the players. I will see if I can get Sung Hyun to move further and further away from me.

Now that both MHL & RLB have washed out of the Monday qualifier, the besties can celebrate Rebecca's birthday tonight by throwing back shots of Remy...and get in shape for the upcoming CM Pro-Am at the same time.

So Yeon Ryu dropped out of the Tournament, hope she is ok. She hasn't posted anything on Instagram or Twitter.

This tournament (formerly the Kia Classic), usually has the highest field rating of any non-major championship. Not this year! My field rating is a solid, but not spectacular, 69.5%. Way, way down from 82% last year. My breakdown is 75% from the LPGA Priority List and 64% from the Rolex Rankings. Nineteen of the top 25 players from the LPGA Priority List, and 17 of the top 25 from the Rolex Rankings will be teeing it up.
Players missing the event include: Nelly Korda (Hospitalized with blood clot) Brooke Henderson (withdrew this week) Patty Tavakanakit Celine Boutier Yuka Saso So Yeon Ryu Georgia Hall Su Oh Carlota Ciganda Angela Stanford
There were some notable changes in the Rolex Rankings the past two weeks. Brooke Henderson moved into the top ten, jumping from 11 to 9. She replaces Lexi Thompson. Georgia Hall moves into the top 25, going from 26 to 23. She replaces In Gee Chun. Nanna Koerstz Madsen makes the most important jump, leaping from 55-32. Other nice moves: Xi Yu Lin 45 to 35 and Amy Yang 57 to 50. Jasmine Suwannapura and So Young Lee dropped out of the top 100 of the Rolex Rankings and are no longer part of my field rating. They have been replaced by Kotone hope 112-81, and Maja Stark 101 to 100.
Other Notes: Brooke Henderson and Danielle Kang are the only players with four top tens. Celine Boutier and Jeongeun Lee6 have three. Brooke Henderson has not finished worse than 11th in any of her 5 starts.
Although we are only 5 tournaments into the 2022 schedule, we already have two first time winners (Madsen and Leona Maguire)

In other news ...
* The LPGA found a golf course for next month's LOTTE Championship. It is Hoakalei CC, about two miles west of the entrance to Pearl Harbor. It was Ernie Els' first signature course in Hawaii, opening in 2009. The LPGA has not been here before.
* Mannika will make an appearance down the road from me on Thursday, May 12:
It's the same week as Cognizant, so she'll probably drop by UMCC for that, too.

Without checking, Lexi might have had one of the great top 10 runs.

They don't have the pairings yet, I guess since Brooke Henderson is skipping they are in no hurry.
