The Players tell you when it’s a Major. Look at the pink V-neck and I’m not even going to mention the knee highs.
Does HaNa have an LPGA clothing deal or is she just trolling the inferior tour?

It's amusing that Hee Young's and Ju Young's family name is transliterated differently. The Rocket has overtaken younger sister to get into the top ten.
Hee Jeong Lim has been amazing. Imagine shooting a 67 in the first round and improving each round after that.

Sign me up for the Hee Jeong fan club. She is wonderful. The swing, the style, the smile. The LPGA's not worthy.

Maybe I haven't watched enough of her, but I'm a little underwhelmed by the swing of Na Rin An. Yes, she has 4-top ten KLPGA finishes in her last five starts, but the negatives stick in my mind. In Round Three, there was either a long par-4 or a reachable par-5 ... DK was playing with An and hit a bomb close to the flag, while An missed the green ... Major League vs. Minor League. On #18, An's approach shot hit the green and zipped right over it into the rough ... hit a mediocre chip about ten feet left of the flag, but made the putt ... congratulations, but it won't be that easy on a 100-year-old U.S. golf course with multi-tiered greens. I confirmed that her world ranking was high enough on August 9 to get her into the Q-Series. She said she wants to be on the LPGA ... did she officially sign up for the Q-Series? She might be good enough to pass it, similar to JEL 6 passing it in 2018 ... but the similarities end there ... NO WAY is she as good as JEL 6.
I think Lim is the real deal. She reminds me some of Furue in Japan. While their swings looks different, both are extremely well-balanced through the impact zone ... they're not gonna knock their balls into a lot of strange places. I could see Lim being the LPGA's next Inky ... as soon as the current Inky finishes her multi-year retirement tour and quits for good.
Very strange to see lame performances from certain LPGAers. BadA$$ opened with a 67, but played like garbage afterward. Leona, the tour's new gorilla of 2021, has folded up like a $3 suitcase ... I confirmed that this is her first LPGA tournament in Asia ... hmm, maybe she feels like she is, uh, SURROUNDED! I think Amy Yang just showed up to get paid whatever ... including this week, she has done almost nothing in her last six events. Funny thing, I had no idea she had seven top-10 from April thru July ... did anyone else notice?
******
Has the gag started? Lim is Even thru five holes, but almost everyone else is burning up the joint. By the way, what's so special about this golf course? It's not in the top-50 of Korean courses on the online top-100 list.

A playoff between two great golfers. Who do I want to win !!!! Jin Young Ko had six birdies on front nine to tie Hee Jeong Lim. Hee Jeong had two birdies to get to twenty under also, Jin Young made birdie on thirteen to take a one shot lead. Hee Jeong made birdie on fourteen and fifteen to take a one shot lead. Jin Young made a birdie on seventeen to tie. Par, Par eighteen.
Hee Jeong hit a hybrid to twenty five feet on first playoff hole. The great LPGA golfer Jin Young Ko hit her hybrid within about four feet. Made birdie to win one of the best head to head golf rounds ever.
Congratulation Jin Young.
Hee Jeong came up short but a great Tournament with no bogeys. She is just getting started, a star in the making.

Round 3 I'm writing this knowing the event is probably over and I won't know the result until 24 hours from now (or maybe I will -- yesterday I watched a couple of hours of round three on SBS Golf, but I fell asleep when Jin Young/In Gee/Minjee finished 14; if I'm up to it I might try that again). I was a bit bummed TBH. In Gee was at 10 under early in round 2, and in a day and a half she only managed to get to 12 under. Hopefully she can finish like she started with a great round. Jin Young continues to impress, but despite a 67, she still lost two shots. Well, it ain't over yet, and Lim and An are probably due weaker rounds at some point, so we'll see what happens... Lim hasn't been a great closer on the KLPGA, but she does have a cushion to work with. An isn't very consistent, but when she is playing well she is hard to stop. Hae Ran had a fantastic day going before dropping one in the water. Great days for Da Yeon Lee and Han Sol Ji, who tied the course record with a 64. Sisters hwaiting!!!

Missing out on breaking that obscure record Thursday was the best thing that could have happened to Jin Young. Back at #1, where she belongs.
This should be good news for Nelly, who can stop looking miserable on-course with her hang-dog look ever since she ascended to the top.
Will Commissioner Mollie come out from under her desk to present the #1 bib to Jin Young's caddie at the next event?

L im hasn't been a great closer on the KLPGA, but she does have a cushion to work with. Sisters hwaiting!!! I remember when Jin Young Ko would win on the KLPGA. That you would make a point that Sung Hyun Park skipped the Tournament. So even though you gave her an asterisk, I was glad she won. So Hee Jeong Lim let a couple of Tournaments slip away. She has also won four times in about two and a half years. Hall of Fame Inbee has let some slip away. Just recently the best LPGA golfer on the planet let one slip away. Just because your favorite didn't win, no need to disrespect the other golfers.

The final leaderboard including Jin Young, is a strong statement by the KLPGA and also shows why there is only one LPGA event in Korea. And why there can be no "Korean Swing" or egads, a major held in Korea, anytime soon. This tournament is the last stronghold, if it should break, the end will be near. Two events would very soon lead to three and so on.
As others here can recognize, any tournament that fields a healthy mix of LPGA and KLPGA organically feels special, the stakes feel higher. Than some of the so-called majors even. At the same time, this is increasingly hostile territory for western players. I mean how does your average American LPGAer come over here and not get intimidated by all the KLPGAers with their perfect swings, expensive outfits, sponsor logos and adoring fan clubs. The home field advantage is strong. Maybe the Squid Game thing was no coincidence. This tournament, for many of the entrants, also represents a kind of existential battle. Of course they are going to fight hard.

So Yeon Ryu didn't have a very good Tournament. However she shot six under the Final Round to make her feel a little better.
In Gee Chun didn't have the finish that she would have liked. Still was a pretty good Tournament and she would have got the best dressed prize.

Dumbo has a commercial on the SBS Golf channel that is single-handedly keeping the Fair Liar apparel brand afloat.
You can learn a lot about the golf industry in Asia by watching the commercials on the KLPGA and JLPGA broadcasts.
