For whatever reason, there are almost no Monday-thru-Wednesday on-course photos of this event when I searched the usual sources (Naver, Daum, Nate). So, we don't know yet what player will have Mr. Chinstrap on her bag, if anyone. But, here's a funny development ... I just found Lampshade in a video on my PC! It was the 2012 Shoprite ... he stood next to Hee Kyeong Seo on the range as she hit pitch shots towards one of the practice greens. I had to check my write-up to confirm the player's identity because the video quality was crude a little fuzzy. The camera was already a relic at 8-years-old ... at 17 now, I should donate it to the Kodak museum ... if I can remember where I put it.

The Mini Rocket wants a second bite at the LPGA apple ... two holes, two birdies.
*********
Much to my surprise, I don't see the name of So Young Lee ... there are 30 official KLPGA positions here and they must have used the current KLPGA money list ... and Lee is 34th on that. I remember her at Lancaster ... had a tiny brush on an elastic attached to her belt ... would give her iron one or two gentle swipes with the brush after each shot on the range. I wonder if she still does that.

Chinstrap Alert! It's Lancaster all over again. How come The Old Ko never gets this guy?

It's about time! The Cap-Signing Queen has been biding her time for this chance to do her thing on the LPGA next season.

No tournament like an LPGA event in Korea. Many golf tournaments around the world pad their fields with just-happy-to-be-here locals. But something different about the locals this week obviously.

Jin Young Ko wasn't able to keep her rounds in the sixties going. However to have gotten the tie is still a great accomplishment.
There were a lot of low scores led by Na Rin An at minus eight. They didn't show too many of them except Ju Young Pak and In Gee Chun. Hee Jeong Lim also was shown at minus five, which I liked. They adjusted the pairings so the leaders will be in the last rounds.
So Yeon didn't have much going, two bogeys front nine, two birdies back nine.

Na Rin An wanted to be o the LPGA so she has been planning for it. It's bad when non members, actually Asian golfers win a LPGA Tournament. Then had to make a decision right away if they wanted to join the Tour. They should give them at least twelve months to decide. It destroyed Kyu Jung Baek golf Career who wasn't mentally ready to make the move.
Jin Young Ko came close to giving up her card. But she had support from a great young Road Manager. A couple other people and a fan that also supported her. Now she is doing great.

Round 1 Fun opening round. I'm kind of surprised there were that many birdies out there; this didn't look like an easy course... Biggest excitement for In Gee and Herden, together again. If she is going to win this season, I feel like this is her best bet. She loves playing in Korea, the site of her most recent win. Jin Young didn't have it, but she was still just two shots away from getting the record. Sei Young had an awesome holeout for eagle. On the KLPGA front, good 70 for Da Been Heo, and nice start by Lim. A Lim should get some coverage tomorrow. Sisters hwaiting!!!

Herden has been passed around more than a dormitory bong. There must be an interesting back story.

I thought JYK would never recover from only tying Mannika's record. I might have been wrong. The Asian tournaments are wonderful. But the future is in Houston not Busan.

Great round by Hee Jeong Lim, another clean round of minus six. Her ball striking was great and so was her putting.
Great round by Jin Young Ko at minus eight. Now that the rounds in the sixties are done with. She can focus on the bigger prize of winning the Tournament.
It's great that Jin Young and Hee Jeong are doing great. But I really hate not seeing So Yeon in the mix, where she belongs.
