"Man Bun refuses to sell his head space to KB Star."
I'm dying here. 😂 Olly rocks.
I bitched plenty about Fassi getting an invite and want slow play stroke penalties.... But I'm with Fassi here. It's bullshit when it's not consistent applied. Are we really supposed to believe she was anywhere near the only one yesterday who used more than 50 sec on a shot? Gimme a break. Fassi has plenty of flaws as a player, but she's never seemed particularly slow. Unlike Brooke or Masson who make me want to scream nearly every shot. It's the inefficient play that really gets me. How many times can a person take out and put a book in their pocket before taking a single shot? Masson can manage 5-6 easy.
EDIT: Must admit my favorite player, SYK, is guilty of that book thing... but also plays worse when she's slow, so please give her more reason to cut it out!

Maybe, but the classy thing to do, especially if you got a freebie entry into the field, is to take your lumps and move on. Throwing a playing partner under the bus is gross.

It's disingenuous to use the "What about so-and-so" excuse. If you get a speeding ticket on the freeway, will the cop let you off if you say, "Many other cars were speeding too." The cop had his radar gun on you.
If you dont want a speeding ticket, slow down. And if you don't want a slow-play penalty, speed up.

Rules person didn’t get the memo that Fassi is too big to fail for the Golf Industrial Complex.

Aren’t players only timed after they have been warned about being out of position and then put on the clock? I think they reported that Fassi’s group had fallen out of position partway thru the front 9. They were warned they were behind, but several holes later (8th ?) were still behind and put on the clock. Then Fassi had the bad time on 9th. Certainly we could all name the s l o w e s t players on tour, but if their group is keeping up to group ahead they’re not going to be timed.

But you know who will never be timed.

Looks like there will be a new number one Ranked Golfer Monday.
Also I've noticed a trend with So Yeon, is to follow a birdie with a bogey. Doesn't look like she will have the great weekend this week.

Youch, things keep getting worse for the Koreans. Korda and Salas are now six shots clear, so guaranteed one of them is winning. Right now their scores today are: Jin Young +3, Inbee +5, Lee6 +5, So Yeon +2. In Gee and Sei Young are doing OK so far, but are still several shots from the top ten. Only Hyo Joo is in the top ten at the moment.
(I think Inbee made a mistake playing five events in a row. I think she's completely run out of gas).
C'mon Sisters, it's always darkest before the dawn! Keep hwaiting!

So we're only getting Nelly's heartbeat in real time? What about her blood pressure, EKG, alcohol and drug levels?
And she should be hooked up to a lie detector for the post-game interview. I'm willing to bet she is really NOT having fun out there and playing it one shot at a time!

Actually, I can agree with that 100%. Lol, I so rarely am moved to feeling sympathetic in these situations... it's confusing! I'm also so annoyed how some players who are super slow all the time seem to always come out unscathed. I'm all for shot clocks, but it had to be official and visible to all.Could settle ties by elapsed playtime or something. Faster is indeed better. Currently, it just feels so arbitrary.

The whole group knew they were on the clock. When that happens to Brooke or Crusty, they speed up their play until the official with the stopwatch drives his cart away. Then they go back to acting like tortoises. Are the veterans gaming the system? Sure, but it's so easy anyone can do it. It's on Fassi and Yealimi that they didn't pick up their pace when then knew they were being timed.

Nichols posted an article Thursday on the Olympic qualifying and didn't mention the most obvious showdown right in front of her face, Lin vs. Liu. Lin came into this one three Rolex spots ahead of Liu and has a three-shot lead over Liu thru Saturday. It would be spicy if they disliked each other ... the LPGA needs more TMZ.

But, now she says she didn't deserve it ... details here:

I also fast forward a lot past golfers I don't want to see.

MHL looked just great in the pro-am (below), before the roof caved in. I can't find any info on her WD, which was rare for her. She is in the fields for VOA and Marathon.
It's a toss up after two rounds in Cincinnati. The cut was +3 and Vickie Hurst made it on the nose by shooting 80. Lucy Li (77-80) crashed and burned for the first time as a pro. Did RLB (77-77) take a PJ out of CVG?
