Sharpy with four birdies in her first five holes is tied for 1st place ... she won't last ... she never does.

I turned on the online GC broadcast stream, but I don't have much time to view it today. They just showed Dr. Noh will a small-size looper who could pass for Jesus Mozo, so I assume that change is now permanent ... a good break for him.
Meanwhile, MHL is in another race to the basement ... I don't know who has her bag and the list still isn't posted by the LPGA yet.

Ruh roh, they're baaaack ... but only for another 24 hours.

Bravo, the best look I've seen of Bianca P. ... I'd watch her again when the tour hits NJ in October ... too bad about those two gaping holes in her game at Spring Lake (iron distance control and putting), but maybe she'll have them fixed when she gets here.

They posted a 10 for Dumbo at #13, then changed it to a 4. That's the explanation, because I couldn't believe she would make a ten. She is smarter than that.

Great start by Jeongeun Lee6 minus three. That's the round you would expect from her, five birdies two bogeys.
In Gee Chun had a really good round after they removed the bogus ten. She was minus three but had a late bogey, still a good start.
Chella Choi was a birdie machine on this tough course with seven. She also had a double and three other bogeys.
Hyo Joo Kim and Inbee Park at minus one is still in the hunt. Inbee Park had a triple bogey, but other than that had a solid round.
So Yeon Ryu started off with a double bogey on her first hole. She wasn't as sharp as she usually is hitting only half the greens. After the double bogey she had four birdies and two bogeys. But at even par, with three good rounds she can't be counted out either.
Another tough start for Jin Young +3with a triple bogey, Sei Young Kim +4 had back to back doubles bogeys. Sung Hyun Park +4, A Lim Kim +5.

Hot 6, T3: "I didn't feel my best because I'm fixing my swing, so still a little bit anxious and uncomfortable."

Inbee Park highlights. She had some pretty impressive putts today. If she can keep doing that she might make a little noise this weekend! Fun fact: by making that final bomb, she recorded an under par round. She now has 15 more under-par rounds in Majors than anyone else in the field!
In Gee Chun highlights. Pretty solid, I think she needs to work a little more on the putting, but everything else looks great!

Round 1
Encouraging first round results for the Sisters. In Gee was at 3 under most of the day, but a late bogey knocked her down to 2 under. A bogey earlier in the day was her first in 75 straight holes! Inbee held steady and made some scintillating putts today, and Lee6 added a great 69 late in the day. Good under par efforts by Hyo Joo and Chella as well.
So Yeon recovered from a crap start to shoot even par. But Jin Young never recovered from a stunning triple and has work to do to even make the cut. On the other hand, she played even par other than that, so maybe she still has a good run in her tomorrow. Sei Young continued her misery of late with a 4 over 76, joining SHP, Inky and A Lim in the +4 and +5 range.
The key is really for the Sisters to show up Friday and really do something special. Put yourselves into the hunt going into the weekend, ladies!! Sisters hwaiting!

In Gee's day 1 interview. Hope her leg is feeling better!
Q. In Gee, what was it like preparing for this week's major championship?
IN GEE CHUN: Oh, I heard a lot of good things about Atlanta Athletic Club here, so I was excited to have a PGA Championship here. I can see why people told me a lot of good things here. I'm so glad we have a tournament here.
Q. What was it like today? How do you feel after the first round of play?
IN GEE CHUN: When I start warming up at the range, I got spasm on my right leg, so I spent the whole time to get treatments and some massage, so I hit only two balls with my driver, then I walked up to the first tee. It was so tough.
Then I got a little pulsate a little bit, but when I started walking, it was a little help. Actually it helped a lot, so I'm so glad I finished today.
Q. When is the last time you think you really haven't had as much prep time to prepare before? Has this happened before to you?
IN GEE CHUN: Like a long time ago, but today it was so bad. I thought -- I almost give up, but I finished today, so I'm so happy.
Q. What do you think you have to improve on heading into tomorrow?
IN GEE CHUN: Get some relax and get some massage on my right leg so hopefully it's getting better tomorrow. I know major weeks are so tough and a lot of challenge, so just being patient and then just playing my game, and then I want to see where I am later.

Arg pointed out on GolfWrx that The New Ko switched to a Titleist driver mid-season, which I hadn't noticed before ... and here is another I hadn't noticed before:
DK has been using TM drivers for years, but dumped them right after the Diamond Resorts TOC and had a Titleist at Gainbridge. She's had Titleist irons for the last few years, but started her pro career with TM irons. She appears to be all in with Titleist now after ditching her MGM Resorts bag for the current one some time between Ocala and ANA. Nice outfit ... I guess there was nothing in her hamper today. Man Bun refuses to sell his head space to KB Star.
