First LPGA event for Hyo Joo in over a year! I'm not surprised she's being ignored, but given she's coming off a huge season on the KLPGA, it will be interesting to see if she can bring that form to the States.
I'm a little more disappointed that I haven't seen a single article about or interview with A Lim Kim. Her first LPGA event since her shocking Major win, and they care more about Wie's return?
Good luck, Sisters. Hwaiting!!

Defending champ, Admiral 1914.* * Admiral is an English sport equipment brand, mostly focused on association football. Admiral was originally created as an undergarment brand in 1914, then switching to sportswear. It reached the peak of its success in the 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s through a series of football team sponsorships.

Wie could go full John Daly this week and get good press.

Great starts for Inbee Park, minus six clean card, Hyo Joo Kim -5 eight birdies. Ditto for In Gee Chun with clean card four birdies.
Amy Yang with minus three is in the mix.
Jin Young Ko putter let her down again, one bogey two birdies. She hit 18 greens but had thirty five putts. Her ball striking is always going to be there, putting needs to match it.
So Yeon Ryu and Jeongeun Lee6 got off to slow starts, plus two and three. So Yeon Ryu only missed four greens, but had thirty four putts. She had one birdie and three bogeys, so she did save par on one hole.
It's official Jeongeun Lee6 is in a minor slump. Unless she is injured I believe that she will turn it around.
A Lim Kim plus six was probably a little nervous her first round.

AVD (77, +5) stunk up the joint today, but routed her playing partners on the Getty Images Scoreboard, 8-0 over MHL (72, Even) and 8-1 over Wei Ling Hsu (71, -1). Mi Hyang was -4 on her first eight holes before throwing it all away.
Unfortunately, Hsu played "theatrical" golf today.

Inbe and Hyo Joo 1 and 2? The LPGA is turning back to a Seoul Sister world.

Who are the top draws right now? It’s still the Canadian and New Zealander. Lexi and Wie are off the back and DK still missed the Mark yet a little bit.

Round 1 For the first time I watched a round of golf on Hulu. It was nice to be able to watch on my iPad rather than have to be parked at my TV, but my contract required me to sit through the ads, and it was BRUTAL. Man, this is what it's like to watch these things live, I had almost forgotten. It felt like at least 30% of the broadcast was commercials. Yeesh. Anyways, great day for the Sisters, especially Inbee. She was dialed in with her putter, nailing a few nifty long putts and managing some impressive lags from way back. She didn't seem too impacted by her driving distance, at least today. In Gee just looked really impressive today. It's the first time we really got to see a concentrated dose of Dumbo all year, and her approaches, her putting, everything seemed on point. She was decently long, too, averaging close to 260. It almost made it worthwhile to sit through Wie West's struggles. Hyo Joo seems ready to bring her KLPGA form to the States. We'll get a good look at her in round 2. Inky shot a 1 over par round on what amounts to her home course. Nice to see her back out there. I'm a tad worried about Lee 6, but she seems right now to shoot the occasional great round mixed in with the dross (remember the 80 at the last event?). Hopefully that means she'll put together a stunner in round 2. So Yeon is still warming up, so I'm not too worried about her. A Lim didn't have a great day at all, but though I'm not sure where she will rank this year, I know she's better than a 78. She'll get the hang of it soon. Sisters hwaiting!!!

HappyFan, you should just use the NBC Sports app. I think it works on pretty much any device and the live golf is commercial-free. During the commercial breaks they just show more live golf with ambient sound...and without the announcers yapping away.

I watch that in the few cases where I watch the golf live, but usually I watch it at night, so I don't think that will work? In any event, I finally cut the cable, so I'm looking for options for watching the LPGA. Hulu offers a full suite of network programming for like $64, which is about half of what Comcast was gouging us for. For $5 extra I can get it ad free. Are there better alternatives?
