I was rooting for a Lang win, yes I do like many Mericans.......but will take a Tutta win. I guess some of Tutta's sailor mouth rubbed off on Kerr......did you here her on I think the 10th tee....."F*ckin wind".....lol. Thank you to all who also sent some bad vibes to Kerr....a lovely bogey, bogey, bogey, bogey finish....well done gentlemen....kudos. My new avatar has some magic. I hope that gals play the west course at Westchester....the slope rating is high and I hope to see some nice thick rough to beat up the gals....this week was lame. www.oobgolf.com/courses/scorecard.php?id=10198Remember the stupidly low scores at Locust Hill and then they decided to pinch in the fairways and grow the rough...."Look Ma.....lower scores"

I just saw the tape. I know it is meaningless to discuss the tournament here, however I think it was the best finish of 2015 by far. But if SP doesn't win at least one major this year, it will be a wasted effort.

I'll admit I gave up on today's coverage about half an hour in. This event just hasn't captured my attention at all. I really hope next year they make the course a bit harder, because all these low scores just make it a bore. Oh well, go Sisters!!! Good luck tomorrow! Happy...you are one funny guy...you are starting to sound like Tiger...saying things that even he doesn't believe. The reason you gave up is because the Sista's were not in contention yesterday with minimal contention and not because the low scores. Did you say the same when low scores were had at goat track, Grey Silo, when Bumble Bee and The Rocket went really low on the weekend and took down Stanford and Crusty Kerr....I think not. Did you stop watching the 2014 CN CWO when Ryu, Inbee & NYC went crazy with low scores on a neutered London Hunt Club course. Of course I watch when players I like are in contention. Duh! But I would far rather see them play a challenging course and kick butt than see Inbee incinerate a pitch and putt like she did last year.

OK. some general comments.
- Yay for the wind! At last the course fought back a little. And isn't it interesting as soon as the course got a little tougher, we started seeing a bunch of Koreans on the leaderboard? - I did watch the round today. Il Hee really barfed it up when she was right in the thick of it. Oh well, still a good week for her. - Nice to see Hyo Joo, So Yeon and Inbee notch top 11s. Well, 'see' is incorrect. The #2 and #4 golfers in the world I don't think got shown even once, did they? So Yeon probably would have been dissed too if she hadn't holed out for eagle. #2 didn't even get the courtesy 'finishing hole' televised putt the defending champ usually does. - Another strong week for Minjee as well; top five! - I was rooting for boring ol' Lang, even though they showed that playoff from a few years ago and reignited my PTSD from that painful memory (Inbee, Hee Kyung Seo and Chella Choi all lost to at-the-time no-time winner Lang. I like Lang, but man, that was not a happy result for me! Course, Chella had never won and Inbee was not yet Winbee; Seo, however, was still looking like a potentially big star at that point). - Not a fan of Darth Pettersen, and Kerr is probably my least favorite player of them all, so I actually got some nice Schadenfreude from the last few holes of this one even if it did mean I had to watch Suzann win one. I actually LOLed when Kerr was rummaging through the brush for her lost drive. Really, Cristie? You were going to play that one, were you? - I like Uribe (she seems like a cool gal), but my goodness, hit the shot already!
Good job, Sisters! On to the Major!!

This website is the best in golf. Why isn't Pettersen's sexuality ever discussed? As well as the sisters that are the on the same page? It is the biggest open secret in golf. It clearly affects the outcome of many tournaments.

Personally, I'd much rather have a genuine star like Pettersen (or even Kerr) win than some nobody who has never even had a top 20 before. Given all the drama Chella Choi has gone through trying to get a win, I feel like a player should at least contend a few times before hoisting a trophy!

I don't normally root for Petterson to win...but I will root for her come the Solheim.....especially if it's to take down a Yank diva. I like Tutta's moxy....it was so funny when she dressed down the rules official at the Evian....that was good stuff. Kerr is such a clown.....here she is contributing to slow play...has a provisional in play yet spends 5 minutes looking for a ball that can only be extracted from that fescue/weeds/trees with a machete......I was hoping she'd hook snipe another ball into the woods when she returned to the tee. I think Kerr looking for a ball was all gamesmanship....trying to throw off Tutta for the win. Ya...Uribe is spicy and pretty cute....but watching her over the weekend with some loose and sloppy play provides us info why she's yet to close it out for a win...although with her fire power she might be a pretty good match play player as evident with her US Am win. It's really sad to see pros play a round that takes over 5 hours...it's too long even for a weekend hack game too.

It clearly affects the outcome of many tournaments. Unless it's an act....a few events ago.....Tutta's BF was shown watching her play. BUT And please correct me if I'm wrong.....wasn't Webb supposedly engaged to her male caddie years ago......we know she's a girl scout and was/is with Kelly Robbins years ago.....for those who attended the Safeway Classic....you'd would have seen Robbins outside the ropes. There are still quite a few lesbians on tour and I suspect a few Sista's too....but it's pretty taboo...especially in Asian culture. The gals stay in the closet to gain endorsements....I don't think we'll ever see a pro come out with a "I'm gay and proud" attitude ala Ellen D. fanofseri.....considering you brought up the topic...what are your thoughts?

It's not so much the LPGA needs to find harder courses....it's that the LPGA and the other event organizers need to set up the courses tougher.....you can pretty much take many courses and make it a beast with narrow fairways, long rough and tough pin placements.....many courses host "IronMan' events and the set ups are very challenging. Besides....many courses....especially premier private tracks don't want to host a LPGA event. But to fix the Manulife = Westmount, Hamilton G&CC, St. Georges G&CC or Glen Abbey. The galleries didn't look impressive last week. IMO....Hideki needs to gain more confidence to close it out....and with supposed gong show approach shots and greens at Chambers Bay....I don't think it will be Hideki holding the USO trophy. I'm heading down for the Tuesday practice round and will be able to make my own judgement on how Chambers will play. The USGA must be licking their chops.....it's been hot and sunny here for quite some time (all the golf courses are in amazing shape) and the weather will be the same for quite some time too....so the USGA can bake out and regulate the conditions heading into next week.......hopefully I can stay awake...heading out around 2/3am and not expected to be home until 1/2 am.

This is why we have the terms...underdog, dark horse and lightening in a bottle. I'd rather see Christine "200 yard avg drive" Song win before a Kerr victory....if Christine should win a LPGA event....so be it...the Golf Gods were shining on her that week and good on her.

fanofseri:
You totally lost me on that last sentence. I don't see how...please explain.
As for the lezzy/LPGA issue...it's so old that almost nobody cares. I watch who I like, regardless of what "team" they are on...I'm mixed on Pettersen..."sweet and sour" are the words that come to mind.
At a recent Shop-Rite pro-am, a couple of burly women were following the group of Sun Young Yoo at a discreet distance. Did Yoo notice? Just a guess: they were NOT the wives of the amateurs! What does this say about Yoo? Probably nothing, but what difference does it make anyway? Maybe these two women found Yoo appealing, but I do too! The next pro-am group after Yoo's group included Laura Davies. Is it possible that the burly ones were following Laura earlier in the day? I don't know...probably yes...I'd follow Laura too, but for different reasons: 1.) Her game is unique 2.) She's one of the most interesting conversationalists on this tour. Do you see how ridiculous this topic can get?

I was gong to respond to some of the posts. I was so disgusted by some of the gossip that I decided not to.

fanofseri: You totally lost me on that last sentence. I don't see how...please explain. Phil Are you getting that old and naive? It was fanofseri's sarcasm at it's finest...just like his "fake Korean" comment. Maybe I might be the only one...but I can appreciate fanofseri's wit.
