These easy courses have to go. These birdie or bust tournaments turn into snore fests. Yep, it is like watching the fat old men on the senior tour. The LPGA embarrassed itself once again this week.

These easy courses have to go. These birdie or bust tournaments turn into snore fests. Amen. I always find these to be the most tedious types of tournaments. When anyone can shoot a low to mid-60s score, a 65 just loses its luster. Interestingly, the Koreans have had their share of wins on these kinds of courses; Inbee did win on an even easier course last year and shot a 61 in the final round to do it. But I'd rather have a tougher test any day!

Having said that, good start for Sei Young Kim (a lusterless 65! ), who has been in a tiny slump lately. NYC, Il Hee Lee and Hyo Joo all shot 66s. So Yeon shot a respectable 68 and currently isn't even in the top 30! Inbee is 42nd at the moment after a 69. But Q Baek is so mired in a slump that she still shot over par. Go Sisters!!

Something tells me that Golf Channel will devote a little more time than usual on the LPGA on tonight's recap show. Hmmmm....with a Bu88les WD....let me guess who they might be talking about? .....maybe a Woods that can shot under par?

WTF....is the LGU in charge of setting up the LPGA event courses now. Remember when the LGU neutered Carnousite when Yani won the WBO. whistlebear.ca/system/tenon/assets/attachments/000/000/066/original/WB_Scorecard.pdfThe posted yardage is 6600 yds for this event...but we know the LPGA seldom plays at the full posted length...the blues are 6400 at 70.6/130.......so if they truly played 6600 yards.....likely 72/132......not exactly an easy course. At 6600 yards there are typically two par 3's over 200 yards and at least two par 4's that are really long and tough. So the LPGA must have this course set easy and short. I've only watched bits and pieces.....on the 555 yd par 5....Cheyenne had 235 to the pin....sorry...no way Cheyenne hit a drive 320 yds. Yup.....some times the tracks are set-up easy. I could take two of our local muni's and set them up tough....no way the LPGA gals would shoot -9, -8, -7, etc....especially some really low scores from a lot of no names today.

I'm sure Whan and IMG are getting an earful from The Dragon Lady tonight. How is the world woman's #1 expected to score well when she'll paired with Crusty Kerr....that's just annoying.

I am kind of worried about Q Baek. The more I think about it, I kind of wish that In Gee had won and had gotten that spot. Q seem to be very emotional and this is only her second year on a professional tour. Where as In Gee seem more mature and can handle set backs better. I may be completely wrong, earnestly I hope that I am. I really would like for her to do well. There still is time for her to turn it around.

Looks like a nice facility. Maybe the wind will kick up and Cheyenne will revert to form. Or if she does well, Tiger may be available to caddy this weekend.

Last week, she missed the cut, but she had top 20s the two events before that. She's not playing up to the level of the other three KLPGA stars, but it hasn't been a complete bust. And there's still time for her to bring it up a notch; if she happens to contend at or win one of the upcoming Majors, we'll forget all about her earlier struggles!

When they first showed the course layout. I knew there would be lots of low scores. When will the LPGA start making par fives again. These par fives are a joke. Saying John Gulbis is "rough around the edges" qualifies you for diplomat of the year.

Se Ri WD....is this the beginning of the end? Hopefully she'll be in Van City in August....lots of Korean fanboys here and she was injured in 2012.

I hope Se Ri can hold on through the end of the year. I don't have the expertise to figure out if Se Ri has withdrawn from more tournaments than any other player in the last 15 years. She is injury prone, that is for certain.
