They pretended that they removed the trees for a better view of the Mountains. The Mountains could be seen from anywhere on the course and the street. Besides who remove trees in a Desert and take away the shade. It's amazing how gullible they think people are.

Someone on GolfWrx said Sung Hung wore the ugliest outfit in history on Friday, so I looked it up ... ugh ... I was surprised everyone in the booth was piling on this. Fashion plate Tom Abbott was brutal. He's the Mr. Blackwell of golf. Have you guys seen the outfits in the 2007 Korean Amateur event that I posted a few days ago? Those are all far worse than what Park was wearing. And take a look at what any American was wearing circa the time Se Ri broke through on the tour. I think the outfits in general have gotten better in the past decade than in the 90s.

Sei Young and Mi Hyang are probably too far back, which leaves Mirim. I've been impressed by her so far, but it seems like a lot to ask for her to win at this point. Well, hopefully she's got one more great round in her and can do what she has done before and surprise the world. Sisters hwaiting!!! I like Mirim but have no hope of her winning today, on this course, against this particular group. Well, as was pointed out, Mirim has had a history of winning against top players in spectacular fashion. The year she beat Lewis, she managed one of the greatest up-and-downs I've ever seen. Her ball was wedged in some rocks near the green next to a water hazard. Somehow she chipped out of that, then made a forty foot par save putt that had at least two big breaks. So, it would be kind of her style to win against a field like this for her first Major. But yeah, it's unlikely.

Rose Zhang again gets the best of Gabriele Ruffels with a birdie, birdie finish -8. Gabriela Ruffles was minus nine until bogeys on 16 and 17 dropped her to -7. That is unlike Gabriela not to finish strong. Rose Zhang must be her kryptonite . Because, great finishes has been Gabriela strong suit. Disappointing finish aside, still minus fifteen is a great Tournament .

If the ANA isn't embarrassed now they will be if Henderson win this Tournament. I thought that there was a time limit for looking for a lost ball. Did they change that rule and make it a tarp rule. The same rule should apply if your ball goes into a tree. Even if you see it go in the tree, you still have to identify it. Otherwise under the rules, it's a lost ball.

Another Commenter (stannylilman) "Please explain how Henderson got relief after not finding her ball within the three minute time period. They never even showed that her ball was found after well over five minutes. An explanation is needed here."
So it's not just me that question the rule.

The setup of 18 and what transpired was probably the low point in over 500 years of goff.

That was the most tentative jump in the pond I've ever seen. I think Mirim was asking her interpreter, "Do I really have to do this?"
********
The LPGA has to be patting itself on the back on the success of the LEXITM BACKSTOP. I'm sure they're already thinking about adding it to other tournaments.
