Put on your "approved" face cover, the 2022 PGA (Merchandise) Show returned this year (Jan. 25-28) ... uh, before you blow the trumpets, be aware that it is NOT open to public ... in other words, a "trade-only" event. Or, am I wrong? Was it ever open to the public? Yawn ... the big brands sure don't care ... I queried the vendor list at the website with all the prominent names and only one popped up, Bridgestone. The only recognizable names in the special events calendar were Mannika and The Shark. LPGAers have attended this show in the past ... I doubt any will be there ... even for players not making it into Boca Rio this week, Orlando is at least 150 miles away.

Back in November, the people who run the North Coast Golf & Travel announced they were cancelling the 2022 traveling show for the second straight year. Excerpt from the news release:
Due to the ongoing Covid fears and supply chain issues for retailers, we feel that our shows would not meet our usual high standards. We are proud of the long running integrity of our events and feel that if we held our 2022 events, our 38-year reputation of excellence would be impacted for years to come.
The TBA date/location order for 2023 is PGH, Cincy, Columbus, Philly, DC, Cleveland and NJ ... yes, much of it through the heart of Idiot Central. I went to the last NJ show, just as all the b******t was breaking out ... it crossed my mind NOT to go, then I decided "screw it" I'm going ... glad I found a great deal on 'discontinued' FJ shoes and a relic Cally driver.
