Soon, their presence on the PGA/Euro Tours will merit a sister site to this one. Looking at the field list for the Genesis Open, I was almost blown away by the number of Korean names, both familiar and unfamiliar.
Representing Korea:
Si Woo Kim Kyoung-Hoon Lee Sung Kang Tae Hee Lee Sangmoon Bae Sungjae Im K.J. Choi Whee Kim
From USA: Kevin Na, Richard Lee, John Huh, Michael Kim
NZ's Danny Lee was also there. And there are others too, like Byeong Hun An. Seung Yul Noh, hopefully can return to high level golf after the military. And they are coming from all over the globe. Soon from down under Minjee's brother will make his presence known too.
Se Ri Pak and her legions set a very high standard obviously, but the men are making inroads too. For a country with only 2-3 decades of golf under its belt, Korea's doing quite well in the men's game.

Uh oh, another thread...technical foul on you!!! ...and don't put on a pink shirt! Oh, and you forgot to mention Alex Kang, the second best golfer in his family.
From the defunct SS board, the only yuge thread that I recall regarding the guys was Y.E. Yang taking down GOAT #2 at the 2009 PGA Championship. This is the last year of his exempt status for that event, which will be later this spring. He trunk-slammed last year...currently plays the Japan tour mostly these days.

Sungjae Im has four top tens this season and is leading after two rounds in the Dominican. He turns 21 today. Impressive.

BHA in the mix again this week, along with SWK. And who is Kyoung Hoon Lee? He is currently T1. LOL
Korean guys have had PGA TOUR success for many years but seem to be doing especially well lately. One has to wonder about the quality of competition back in Korea as well.

A tantalizing run but alas no title for SWK in Texas. Still a top ten finish, along with KHL. Danny Lee was T7 too. SJI and BHA also in the top 20.
Listen, I am not actually that personally interested in what's going on here. But it is noteworthy, and literally nobody else--in golf fandom or media--is making a peep about it.

I’m only watching because this course reminds me of the landfill I grew up next to but it would be nice to see Kang stuff it in everybody’s face with a W in Dallas.

I warned you people, these guys are doing great lately. First Seoul Brother win since... Kevin Na? Or Si Woo Kim (if you don't wanna count Kevin)?

My man Porter for CBS Men’s Golf thinks this will be the last win for Kang.

You forgot about that guy with the crazy swing on the Japan Tour, Ho Sung Choi. Here he is with Yuka Yasuda:

They probably won't mention it until the Koreans notch a few wins over there - and then there will be a bunch of writers panicking about 'what it means to the game' or some such nonsense.

I don't know if TV Tokyo is a regular broadcaster for the PGA Tour, but they are showing the PGA Championship now, although its broadcast window for Rounds 1 & 2 is limited. But, they'll have about 3.5 hours for Saturday and Sunday. This is definitely more ammunition to dump GC and cable TV. Link:
Danny Lee is -5 thru 14 holes...he might be the only guy able to spoil The Cupcake Show today.
