Huh? I don't see too many Japanese on that leaderboard? Pei-Ying Tsai is a regular on the JLPGA.

The cut line has slipped to +4.
From the photos and swing videos, Dr. Noh looks physically impressive, but she is tied with Beth Allen for low Yank. If she can't leave BA in the dust, she's got some explainin' to do.

philknjDon't be too tough on Yealimi. This is her fourth pro event; and her first trip to Taiwan.

Pei-Ying Tsai is a regular ringer on the JLPGA Corrected that for you. Hana Wakimoto is the best japanese player at this tournament. she is at even today thru 9 and was one over yesterday, hopefully she will make the cut. i think a solid player, after passing the QT she will be a full status rookie on the main jlpga tour for 2019. she did win a tournament last year by one stroke on the taiwan tour; like amy koga at 5'9" she stands out from the rest of the players on the jlpga.

The broadcast is just about ready to go on SBS. . .their last event before the KLPGA event was the Desert Classic PGA event. . . They showed a recap of Michelson's great round today and I think I did see Jin Young in the gallery with her hooded LPGA Golfwear rain suit on. . .now who got who's autograph is a question yet to be answered. . .

The Taiwan feed on Youtube just started...it's perfect because if when I fall asleep later, the whole video can be played back at my leisure.
Looking forward to seeing how Tsai navigates this shark tank...so far so good, -2 on her first 7 holes, tied for 1st at -6. First prize is $160K USD, which is more than what most JLPGA events pay.
Dr. Noh just doubled #5 and is +4, still within the cut line. Where does she go from here? She has no status anywhere, although the scrub tours in AZ and FL would be delighted to take her entrance fee money.

I watched a little on YouTube. It was weird how they basically seemed to stop showing Ji Hyun Oh on the back nine and focused mostly on the final group. It seemed like Tsai was getting blown away off the tee by Kim, was never closer to the flag on approach, but made enough long birdies to keep in it.
Anyways, most of the big name Sisters are still in this, so let's see how Saturday goes. Hwaiting!

Yealimi's plan is to Monday qualify for LPGA tournaments.

Yealimi got to have a sense of urgency that she hasn't shot many under par rounds in all her pro events; although it's still early at this stage.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BsyQmpXFxDG Good to see Mi Sun5 in the hunt after the second round. Two or three years ago I thought that she had a chance to make the LPGA Tour. But she started to struggle with her game. I don't know if she ever thought about it, just my belief.
