Karis Davidson is No. 44 on official money list; in good shape but not entirely out of the wood.
She's -3 and T13.

philknjYou wrote "Erika Hara (+3), Bo Mee Lee (+5) w/ trainee and SY Kang (-2) ...what is this nonsense about retiring?" I believe the article about Kangster's retirement said it would be after the Hite-Jinro event(same week as UL). "Hite Jinro Championship in a few weeks. @sooyun0315 will retire after that tournament. That is all..." The question for me is, will Erika Hara bring out the zebra outfit again? The answer to both questions is "We shall see. . ." Attachments:

I forgot to post the search string for Youtube:
日本女子プロゴルフ選手権大会コニカミノルタ杯
I dozed off early, but this video has some of the later players at #9 and #18, including Jing Yan, Hori, The Hulk, Karis, BML, and Hae Rym Kim:
They paraded several of the cuties through the broadcast booth for interviews, including Koiwai, Miura, Sky, Mikashima (I think), and Katsu (in the above video at 1:18:17). If I were Japanese, I'd be really annoyed that there was no sound for them! Sky's reactions and mannerisms during her interview were priceless, but I can't find that segment of the broadcast on Youtube, yet.

I don't know why, but watching Kana Nagai on the practice putting green with that big orange ball between her legs tickled me. She also had to blow her nose All this at about 10:45. Watching BoMee finishing up. Sometimes I wonder if her desire to find a mate a couple of years ago has not hindered her career. Same for Ritsuko.

Ha Neul is adorable. I sure wish she would consider coming to the LPGA at some point!

If I were Japanese, I'd be really annoyed that there was no sound for them [/div][/quote] I'm willing to bet that if you were watching this on a regular TV in Japan you could hear the announcers just fine. I think whoever uploaded this to YouTube purposely stripped out the center channel with the announcers voices so YouTube's copyright bot wouldn't flag it and take it down. This happens with music all the time on YouTube and I'm sure it can detect audio from a pirate golf broadcast too. I actually didn't mind just hearing the ambient sound. I sometimes turn off the center announce channel when I'm watching golf on TV when the commentary is particularly annoying.

Just witnessed a great hole in one by Chie Arimura at the par 3 sixth. Pouring down rain(great preparation for Evian). Ai's putting looks as good as usual. After a couple hours it's time for a break and then some golf in the sun on the KLPGA. . .

Strange how the Sky A broadcast on Weebly has the broadcaster voices, but the Youtube streaming on the JLPGA website does not. The Weebly feed is a repeat from earlier when it was raining hard...it's clear now.
The cut of top-60 plus ties is currently at +2, but better PM weather might push it to +1. Hori and Jang finished at +2.
Yikes, after opening with a 70, SY Kang dropped out of Round Two with left wrist pain...it's her 5th WD this season...retirement doesn't look like such a crazy idea now.
Smile Candy dropped out after nine holes with a bad back.
Miyuki Takeuchi...excellent model, horrendous rainsuit

The live feed on the JLPGA website has been showing many of approach shots at #18, which is pretty strong finishing hole...420 yards with a big water hazard protecting the front/left of the green. Almost all these players are hitting hybrids or FWs into the green and you'll be in heavy rough off the fairway. They have a good mic set up in the fairway and I could hear Phoebe Yao speaking pretty good English with her non-Asian looper.
I'm convinced even more that Sakura Koiwai is going to win this year...and maybe it will be this week. She may be the most aggressive flag hunter on this tour and her medium distance putting is superb. She made that kind of birdie putt at #1 and stuffed her third shot at the par-5 2nd for a kick-in birdie. She has no bogeys in the first 30 holes and trails leader JY Shin by one shot.

Great to see should be world Golf Hall of Famer Yuri Fudoh, minus one, make the cut. When a lot the of great golfers missed it. Kotone made the cut, at least a top five is durable. That number five hole pin placement were no picnic either.

Before Round Two, BML woke up with a sore waist and back...it was painful turning her body on a swing...opened with a 43 on her first nine and wisely dropped out. She's penciled in for next week's Munsingwear tournament, but who knows.

A constant rain is coming down at the start of Round Three...Sky Kim just missed the fairway at #1 and her ball was swallowed by deep rough. The last groups tee off at 10:20 PM EST.
Na Ri Lee and Mi Jeong Jeon
Weiwei Zhang and Erina Hara
