Perhaps with the weak field, Se Ri can get a top 10 this week and get her confidence back.

I believe this event is played Wed-Thurs so it can be shown in S. Korea Thurs-Sun.

I will be keeping an eye on it. Two of my young friends are playing in it. Britney Yada and Jessica Wallace. Neither has done to well so for. Also ex Trojan Veronica Felibert who just missed out joining the LPGA last year.

2 things:
1) So, Amy Alcott will dust her game off to play in the Inspiration but she doesn't want to play in events like these? You know you have no chance at winning in Rancho Mirage. At least play in an event that could use your name to help support and advertise it.
2) Ok, what's up with Haruku Morita-Wanyao Lu? Was she originally Japanese and emigrated to China, but kept both names? I know she played in Japan as an amateur and now represents China, but I am finding nothing about her personally.

I planned on driving to Daly City in 2016 to watch Se Ri's final US Open. Sadly, I believe Lancaster will be the final stop. It's a shame she isn't playing with Alcott this week so there could be a scapegoat like Nabisco.

Christine (82) Song...she can't blame outdated equipment...is there a story about the rails on the course?

Round 1 Woh, what an amazing leaderboard after the first round! Great stuff from the Sisters today in some windy and tough conditions. The most heartwarming score of all was one of the last to be completed: IK Kim shot a 65, her first truly great score in quite a while! That's awesome to see! I have no idea if she will be able to continue in this vein the rest of the week, but it sure is encouraging to see her do it at all. Here's hoping she can keep it up! NYC, Sei Young Kim and Inbee tied for second at 5 under. When I was watching, Sei Young was playing better than Inbee (they were paired together), but it seems like Inbee rallied nicely at the end! Great job by all three, who share in common that they each have one LPGA win this season and are looking for more! Hyo Joo managed a decent 69 considering how tired she must still be; Mirim, So Yeon and Jenny Shin all well in this as well. Even Q Baek shot an even par, not bad at all to start. So Young Lee is probably the top Korean amateur at this time. She shot a 71 today. Keep an eye on her to see if she can do better here than she did last week on the KLPGA. Korea Fighting!!! Pix Inbee Park Hyo Joo Kim Ha Na Jang Ji Ram Kweon

Britney Yada and Jessica Wallace. How do you know Jessica Wallace? I know her because she's a local gal playing out of Redwoods Golf Club......a really nice and picturesque course with a really strong jr. program. Saw her back in 2011 at Redwoods and chatted with Jessica on the green for 10 minutes before teeing off....a really nice young lady. At the 19th hole...I saw Sue Kim walk in...I said hi...she looked and kept walking.

It's a shame she isn't playing with Alcott this week so there could be a scapegoat like Nabisco. 2016 USWO is at Cordevalle in San Martin, Cal. Isn't this a bit too far south of San Fran/San Jose to attract many spectators from attending? Based on the population around Lancaster....if this year's USWO is not well attended.....it will again demonstrate.....Yanks don't care for women's golf....we saw the mediocre attendance at the ANA....especially when we saw the galleries one week later at Augusta. Time to move the majors to Asia....the WBO has mediocre attendance too.....Evian's attendance is average at best. Two majors in S. Korea....two in Japan. Lake Merced G&CC (Swinging Skirts) is in Daly City.

Christine (82) Song...she can't blame outdated equipment...is there a story about the rails on the course? Christine is in her comfortable and "Happy Place" (Happy Gilmour.....it was filmed in Van City)......DFL again after rd one. Yes....I've only read great things about the G30....it must be those turbulators....lol.....anyone want to lend me $400?....I've got a used JetSpeed being shipped tomorrow....$80 + shipping from a Cdn online retailer.....being a club ho in the US is so much cheaper....more inventory and really cheap shipping costs too....many times free.....I've read some guys have obtained used JetSpeed's for $49 shipped. I heard that a train used to run by the course....now it's some touristy ride. It looks like you can walk onto this course and watch golf from right off the street.

Vicky Hurst WD...I think this might be the beginning of the end for her. I also don't see any comeback from Yani neither.
When I saw the Symetra roster....Cindy Lacrosse has lost her game....there was a bit of talk about her a few years ago.

Great rd by Inky...but I don't see her contending on Saturday.
Sei Young Kim continues to impress....at the beginning of the year....I thought HJK was a shoe in for 2015 ROY....now I think it will be SYK.
Is Dean Herdin off Ha Na Jang's bag?
I think Lydia is not playing this week cause The Dragon Lady is sourcing a new loop for Lydia's defense in San Fran....it was all Jason's fault for Ko's lack luster performance at the ANA...heads had to roll....let's blame the loop....lol. Now that I think of it....I wouldn't be surprised to see Domijo Jojola caddying next week ...a past jr. member at Lake Merced and Lydia's loop at the 2012 USGA Jr. Girls Am and her loop when she won last year.
WTF...what's up with The Rocket?....+5...she's killing me...she hasn't played well this year.

First-aid for mr3putt: mr3putt: I refuse to be one (so far)...I prefer to practice and work on swing improvements that can't be bought off a shelf. I think I made excellent progress yesterday during my first trip to the range of 2015. Only took the 5 thru 9 irons with me...drum roll...MacGregor M565 V-Foil w/ 4.5 Rifle steel. Meena Lee used a TM Jetspeed driver at last year's Shop-Rite. I don't know where Dean Herden is now, but he has touched all the bases among the top Sisters in the last 6+ years. Had Mirim Lee at last year's Shop-Rite.
