USGA Announces Jennifer Kupcho as First Member of 2018 USA Women's World Amateur Team Kupcho receives first automatic selection as No. 1 player in latest World Amateur Golf Ranking™ mediacenter.usga.org/news-releases?item=122627Jennifer Kupcho, the 2018 NCAA Division I women’s golf individual champion at Wake Forest University and a member of the victorious USA Curtis Cup Team in June, has been selected by the USGA to represent the USA in the 2018 Women’s World Amateur Team Championship at Carton House near Dublin, Ireland, next month. She is an automatic selection because of her position in the latest World Amateur Golf Ranking™. 2018 Women’s World Amateur Team: 1. The best ranked US femals payer in WAGR will be automatically named to the team, as of the July 25 WAGR update2. The U.S. Women’s Amateur champion will be automatically named to the team 3. The women’s Mark H. McCormack Medal winner (WAGR world No. 1) will beautomatically named to the team (named immediately after the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship) 4. Any other remaining selections will be decided by the USGA’s International Team Selection (ITS) Committee All selections assume the player is a U.S. citizen and remains an amateur through the Team Championships

A trivia question that I would have loved to answer. Both matches won by Daniel Kang were my two favorites. Especially the one against Jessica. It was a great match and Jessica was so gracious, even thou she lost.

With 3 more hours playing time; there're 47 players at -1 or better. Both Yealimi Noh and Kristen Gillman are at -1, safely inside the cut line.
The clubhouse leader at -4 is Bohyun Park; a 15 years old born in Korea. She grows up in New Zealand since 2011 by way of Suadi Arabia; she's aspired to be another Lydia Ko and she may have a chance to prove it.
