The prelim. field has been posted...as expected, several missing "names" will allow the washouts to have their week in the sun. It will also be Dumbo's AC debut, as well as the pro debuts of Leona Maguire and Lisa Maguire. NJ pro Taylor Totland received a sponsor exemption and will make her LPGA debut. For Monday qualifying, I recall seeing NJ's Karen Chung on the list a few days ago, but it's gone now. However, Eun Jeong Seong has been added.

So Yeon not playing is good news. Which means she will probably play the Meijer Classic this year. We will arrive in Michigan on Thursday of that week. So I will go Saturday and Sunday.

Sky Seo is sticking around for the pro-ams after bombing out of Monday qualifying. This fitness place is not far from the Greate Bay Resort & CC, the former location of this tournament.
The pro-am tee times have been posted...one significant change, they won't be playing Atlantic City CC on Wednesday. Instead, they'll do Galloway National GC on Wednesday and Thursday. Ugh, they give Mi Hyang a 7:10 AM time at #1 for her Thursday pro-am on the Bay course...I don't want to get up that early...I think I'll just intercept her when her group starts at #10. I'll be down there Wed. thru Fri., haven't finalized my plans...uh oh, Chelsea Pezzola and Paige Spirinac are at Galloway Thursday in back-to-back groups starting at 11:50 AM.

Atlantic City CC is the venue of this week's stop on the World Long Drive circuit, the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bash, which thanks to its coincidental scheduling in the same week as the Shop-Rite gets some coverage on the Golf Channel.Kevin

My post is up for this week's event, where I explain why Jin Young or IK will win. In my signature below.

Sung Hyun Park started with a bogey on the first two holes. I was thinking not again. However she fought back with four birdies and no bogeys to finish minus two.
Jin Young got off to another slow start at plus one.
First round Queen Jessica, minus three a had a much better start than the last time.
edit :In Gee minus four a good start.

In Gee minus three a good start. In Gee is -4, but it doesn't matter; two more rounds to go.

Mi Hyang Lee is +3; as philknj mentioned, she's never played well here.

Most recent LPGA events, not including USWO which is an USGA event, have jam packed leaderboard. A lot of money and ranking points are at stake with every shot, be it a made putt or a chipped in.
