They'll tee off Thursday at Lakewood CC, in the northern suburbs of Seoul. The field of 135 will include two call-ups from the dungeon tour, Hye Youn Kim and Hyun Ju Yoo, as well as Chae Young Yoon, Shin Ae Ahn and the two "Big Breakers", Jessica Peng and Genevieve Ling. This "major" will have plenty of TV...good luck finding it.

This alleged "major" venue has mats on the driving range... aigoo.They had about 15 people in the grandstand behind the #1 tee when Penguin's group arrived for their second nine holes. Eight Head finished with a 67 (-5), including a hole-out eagle at the par-5 1st hole.   The broadcast had a clip of Sharon playing the par-3 second hole. I don't know why this guy's face is pixilated, unless they're trying to protect him from his wife.   |

Round 1 The KLPGA Championship is one of the two events on the KLPGA tour that has a legitimate claim to be a Major (the other is the Korea Women's Open -- both of those events have been around as long as the KLPGA tour itself). Anyway, they might have thought about making the setup a little tougher. Too many low scores! No luck finding any live Youtube streaming for Round Two. The adorable Hye Youn Kim on Thursday and Friday. Her 73-72 has her T-63...I don't know the cut line. She'll get another crack on Korea's big tour next week.   Sharon also finished T-63 for now.   ***** The goat track scores continue...and Cyborg is shooting to be the GOAT. She's -7 on her first 13 holes with no bogeys...trails the clubhouse leader by two shots.   |
