Good tournament for Lydia. I really wanted her to get the win, but second place is not too bad. Maybe she will return to her old form. Kudos to Minjee for a great final round Lydia will be more competitive from now on; but today is the evidence that she won't be the Lydia of old.Tru dat. Ya, can't win when you're giving up 30-60 yards against pros like Lexi, Namdalla, etc...even CYBORG has demonstrated with a well plan diet of Mannika juice....she's bombing it too. Never mind the 2-3 clubs shorter on approach shots these pros have too. Lydia was putting brilliantly with left hand low this week on the short putts...why Gilchrist enforced her to switch for so long is beyond me.

I thought I was lactose intolerant 25 years ago...but it was not so....hmmmm...I think I'll have some ice cream now. This post demonstrates that Lexi is kinda a loner on tour .......having to pour milk on herself just to please Whan so she can collect her pay cheque. I think Jenn Johnson is Lexi's only BFF on tour...and Jenn is injured.

Did Whan grease the Asian couple who gave Lexi a low five in between the 17th & 18th hole...just to demonstrate the diversity of the LPGA.

It's a good thing the "TOP GUN" Asians stayed home this week so Lexi could win one for the Americans, Whan was gonna add a "g" to his name if an Asian won, as in WHANG!!!

Yup...Whan is patting himself on the back that he has a full LPGA sked, so tier III events are played with scrubs and wash-outs so the Yanks can win and Nasa can make the cut. It's too bad the LOVELY HYP continues to gag no matter what event she plays.

I wonder how much lexi's proximity to the hole is effected by the softness of the fairways. Whenever she's scoring well she seems to pull thick divots out of the ground.
Far be it from the LPGA to soak courses for their biggest star, just wondering if she's a mudder because of her attack angle.

"Lexi's personal preferences on her fairways are something that she can talk about in much better detail and information than I could possibly provide. I can tell you that in my entire commissioning career, I have never talked to any player, groundskeeper, about fairway irrigation. That is not a subject that I have ever brought up." -Mike Whan

So, what's the verdict on this golf course? The backside and internal sections of the raceway grandstands is hardly a compelling visual on the last four holes (or on any holes) of a golf course. Next time, they should run some races during the tournament. That would be an excellent test of concentration.

Good thing Lexi won. Lydia can't drive a golf cart.

Lydia rose to #1 in the world averaging 250 off the tee. Inbee rose to #1 in the world averaging 250 off the tee. Stacy rose to #1 in the world averaging 250 off the tee. Heck, Ai was #1 in the world averaging less then 250 off the tee. Lydia got to #1 on the strength of her short game and putting. Hopefully she's spending less time on her full swing, and more on her wedge game and putting. Going back to left hand low is a great start.

Next time, they should run some races during the tournament. That would be an excellent test of concentration. I have no idea why they thought finishing inside the track was necessary. Heck, if you are going to do that, then play 9, 10, 7, and 8 so that you finish with the difficult par 3 7th, and the risky par 4 8th. Otherwise, the normal 18th hole is a good finishing hole with the hazard running along the right side. I thought the course looked and played fine. Dye doesn't build easy courses. Obviously it was soft the first two days. OK, lengthen it up. The course played much harder during the final round, so it can have some teeth. Yes, it won't be U.S. Open difficult, but a winning score of -10 to -12 would be fine. I played the course in August of 2015. There was a race team testing at the track, so there was a constant din of the race car going around the track. 'Pretty cool. I got a decent pic of it as I stood on the 10th tee.

When Lydia and Queen Bee were dominant, Yani was well on her way out, there wasn't any bomber who could make putts and scramble. Apparently with a "new and improved" Lexi, and the Terminator, we have two now. Lydia will still win, and conceivably become #1 at some point. But I don't see her staying on top for years like before.

I'm not totally convinced that Lexi's putting issues are completely behind her. We saw it earlier this year when she reverted to her old form when the pressure was on on Sunday. This week she got a decent cushion after Lydia dropped two shots, so Lexi didn't really have a must-make putt.
