In Gee may be breaking out of her funk; the seven birdies today is her best since Lotte in April.

You know the LPGA set-up Columbia Edgewater as a pitch and putt when Nasa shoots -5......WTF. I've seen 1st hand in years past where they have played the course up to 200 yds shorter than the posted yardage.
Hopefully Vern, Ol_68, bravedave or TV will tell/show us if there are any FLYING DUMBO'a attending this week.

We all hope tournaments will be played at Augusta type of courses every week; but it's what it's. From competition standpoint, it doesn't make any differences. Every player plays the same course every week, the player with the best score wins.

Every player plays the same course every week, the player with the best score wins. I've seen this course many times....it's a good private.....even at 6380 yds it's rated at 71.2/132....it's also a great layout for viewing as many greens and tee blocks are close by for ease of maximum enjoyment. I play often at Swaneset which is similarity rated....but Swaneset is such a much more difficult test....and visually more intimidating with more hazards and fescue. FYI...they switched the 9's for this event...they should play it at par 71 vs. dumbing it down to a par 72. They play the 7th hole as a par 5...but the scorecard is a par 4. But ya...at the end of the day...all the players play the same course. I also like watching the planes fly by and every now and then .....you'll all see military jets fly by. Marine Drive here has a reciprocal with Columbia Edgewater. www.cecc.com/Golf/A-V--Macan-Course.aspx

Hmmm..after 10 holes...Cheatin Lexi is 6 strokes better than SYR.
I guess it really got under SYR's skin when the 1st hole announcer introduced Lexi as the REAL 2017 ANA champion. Let's see if SYR shoves out her hand or hugs Lexi after their rd

Yup, the LPGA dumb downed the course when Cheyenne & Cindy LaCrosse are 1 stroke off the lead....the par 3's are being played up ....as I'm sure as with many other holes too. These gals can easily handle a course over 6600 yards...so play it that way...especially at this event when the course is baked out cause the weather is always hot in August in Portland.

The Golf Industrial Complex is at it again.....all they're talking about is the Solheim cause the Yanks won.
Dumbo is the outright leader, yet GIC will only cover the ECP on The Brooke Henderson Show tomorrow....what a shame.

Luv it...Ms. Pouty Face whips her ball into the pond on 18....LMAO...she's so likable. Why wouldn't she just hand it to a kid...and Yanks think Koreans are killing the tour....lol.

Had a surprise rain shower here in the Seattle area. It was glorious! Reaching temps in the upper 80's here in September is simply unnatural.
I'm about all packed. I'm going to bring my stuff with me to work then hopefully I'll leave about 1 to make the drive down to Portland.

Have fun fanboying Dumbo. You gotta 'rough it' like I do...leave at midnight for the 8 hr drive to arrive at the course in the morning...thank goodness it's no longer at Pumpkin with the lousy traffic. I'm glad I-5 has many truck stops for a quick rest and some free lousy watered down coffee and cookies. I once chatted with a volunteer at one for 45 minutes driving home....WTF.

Daniel Kang has a very fun, intelligent and mature personality and a great back story with the 2 US Am wins. Thankfully she'll be on TV, interviews and Caddieknowsbest now. We sat through a mountain of coverage of Americans who hid behind sunglssses, ktape, you name it, who never made golf look fun. The criteria should be weighted more toward a players vibe and aura, not out of contention fame that might pick up a crossover viewer but torturers your dedicated viewers. Rant over
