Korea v Rest of the World. Who wins? It'd be way more interesting. If it was a 4 days stroke play competition with aggregate score, then Korea wins by a mile, against any team. For traditional team match play format, then it could be a toss up, because of the volatility of match play. Example: 1, In the Ryder Cup, the European team keeps kicking America's butt, even thought American always has the better team on paper ( in terms of players rankings). 2, In the first International Crown, Korea almost didn't made it to Sunday ( and finished 4th? ) . And in the second one, it was won by the Americans. International Crown is a 4 person team. In that type of format the difference is not so great. Solheim Cup format with 12 person team? Please. That's where the Korean depth would be decisive. Inky at #10 on the team has two wins this year. Hye Jin Choi would be #11 and beat all Americans at the US Women's Open. #12 is Ha Neul Kim, the dominant player on the JLPGA. Mi Hyang Lee wouldn't even make the team.

To be honest the draw was why the US won the International Crown. The only head to head match between Korea and the USA. Was won by So Yeon against Lexi Thompson. So I really wouldn't use that as an example. On another note the men are much bigger, taller and weigh much more than the ladies. Has better equipment and sponsors. They make way more money and play better courses. If all things were equal I wonder who will be the bigger draw. Look at tennis where the ladies are more, or as popular as the men. The one difference is they don't have many Koreans winning a lot, to hate. At the Kowa Queens last year, they had the team format I would adopt for the IC. The top two teams were pitted against each other in every match. It was Korea vs. Japan, with Euros getting blown away in the prelims. Korea won EVERY match against Japan save one, which they tied. And that was the KLPGA, with only Jiyai Shin from off the tour IIRC. Oh, and it was in Japan.

Angel Yin is in contention this week while N.Korda misses the cut. Don't really care for '2 teams 1 cup' but it will be interesting to see how Inkster justifies the Nelly pick. Apparently this decision was for whatever reason written in stone a long time ago. Anyways I hope the Americans have fun beating up on the barely-existent LET.

You don't get to be captain twice unless they know you'll play ball for ratings. But Yin and Nelly are virtually tied in 2017 earnings and around 14th and 15th for Americans. Either player would be a decent captains pick, no? The funny thing is that Yin would shine much brighter in the interview room and might actually say something buzz worthy.

I understand all that, and while I don't really have two shits to give, I find it curious that the Nelly pick was guaranteed a long time ago, and that Inkster made it so clear. She really has a hard-on for that kid. Beyond that logically it doesn't quite add up. Just because Nelly is blonde and American and girly is no guarantee whatsoever of any kind of buzz. Paige Spiranac and her Penthouse Pet physique did nothing for the Ladies Euro Tour in her two appearances. This is just not how golf works. I feel she should pick Pressel and Creamer. Might as well milk the last few drops of fan appeal left in those two old broads. They have done a lot for American women's golf, let people enjoy them while they're still inside the ropes. Nelly is young enough that she can star in the next 8-10 Solheim Cups or whatever. The Americans are already at a huge advantage and this is an exhibition. Go with the sentimental picks.

Ya I know you know all that I'm just trying to get a dig in about the Golf Channel and the players they choose to help MAKE into stars. I can't get behind Creamer. I admire her as a golfer and whatnot but there was a group of players that adorned themselves in the flag for their own promotion while representing the country, not once, but multiple times. I'm ready for them to be off the team. I mean it was like Evel Knievel out there. We're playing golf not jumping motorcycles.

The only way Creamer is chosen is that she knows where to buy all the face paint, teddy bears and ribbons and can likely get a team discount in Des Moines at the hair/nail salon.
Mrs. Heath (what a clown has Mrs. Heath on her staff bag?) should just stay home and bake muffins.
The only made for TV would be if Charley and Creamer got into a physical dust-up because the Mayweather vs. Macgregor fight will be a BIG SHAM and FAKE.

Based on the play so far...looks like Bam Bam and Salas will be in as RR qualifiers.
IMO...the only way for Mick to pick Nelly would be to pick Angel too...as she wants two youngsters with fire power. If Angel is off the team.....and I won't be surprised...it will truly expose Jagger's racism.
OK OK....it's all about the eye candy...I guarantee you if Angel looked like Muni...she'd be a captain's pick....IMG, The Dark Side (Nike) and GC would force Jagger's hand.

The Americans are already at a huge advantage and this is an exhibition. . I don't think the Euros are that bad...I think the only wash-out will be Parker. Mannika's picks likely will be Anna, Masson, Sagstrom??....and a tough decision for either Aza or Sandra. Although we've onlt seen her stroke play...Georgia Hall has been impressive the past month. OLE OLE....destroy the Yanks.....I want to see Lewis, Kerr and Wie get demolished.

Aza told GC that she changed her swing earlier as a desperate measure to make the team, but it messed her up even more.
It is not often to see millionaire (or in the men's side, billionaire) care so much about an "exhibition" in which they play FOR FREE.

Glad to see Stanford trunk slam and eliminate her chances as a captain's pick...she has a Solheim scrub record anyways.

I think Aza likes the Solheim because it has a part of her heart. My tin hat theory. I think with all the booze and partying....I think this is the 1st place where Aza played tonsil hockey with Tim Vickers.....I think Tim was on Sandra's bag....and I think Sandra use to sleep with Tim too....male slut....lol. At the 2012 CN CWO.....Tim would loop for Sandra and then go watch Aza play in the afternoon.

Are there any Yanks here rooting for the Euros? If yes...who do you think Mannika's 4 picks will be.
I think the Euros will be doing JUICE shooters in the war room.
