I read a 4gea thread. Now that I watch a vid in normal time....yes ......I do believe Lexi was cheating. She walks up to the putt...lays her putter down to the side of her ball...looks down...likely sees something...then decides to mark her ball and then immediately puts her ball down an inch away and proceeds to putt out.....you'd think she learn from Cheatin Chella.....lol LMAO....SYR was playing with Lexi along with the Terminator in the 3rd rd....yes children.....there is something called karma, pay back and Santa Claus. Oh well....I like Lexi and will always root for her...I also like SYR too. What link was it? Was it the one where they say a korean sent the email then justify their racism because they have a asian wife. They also called it the "Anal Inspiration" Which I thought was funny. The Lexi thread started by Butch.

The golf industrial complex has made sure we've heard that this was all an accident.

She broke the rules, so deal with it. Strange they didn't interview any Koreans about it. They interviewed Kerr. What did they expect that cheater to say.

So it seems there are many at the LPGA office who know the author of the mysterious email. I gotta believe rumors are spreading that the email originated from a Korean...maybe a Dumbo Flying, The Attack Girls aka the offline Namdalla's, the JANG GANG, etc
If indeed it is from a Korean...Whan is a FOOL not to publicly say so...it will ignite the long awaited fire and rivalry we've all been waiting for...The Yanks vs. the Sista's...this would make #GIMMEEGATE look like a non-issue event.

So they can identify who squealed.
That means Whan knows I'm the one who criticizes his hair stylist.

I think as long as Lexi is seen as a sympathetic figure her agent will try to keep the story in the news. Mell is happy to oblige. This is the golf story of the year. So funny it's Kerr and BamBam with the quotes. If someone sat on the info for a day to give Lexi 4 strokes then that is quite a story. But it's strange to me that 90% of golf fans think Thompson got hosed and are upset about it. Where have the serious people gone? Phil's statement was bizarre and reporters were quoting him in part to back up their own ridiculous fan friendly opinion pieces. I understand if people's main takeaway is that callers shouldn't be able to alert officials. But if that isn't followed up by saying "however in this case Lexi was clearly at fault" then I think they are either ignorant, badly biased, or worst, telling the public what they want to hear when they know better.

I like how they're now hitting back and now accusing the call-in viewer of being a cheater. That's somewhat creative.
I hope they do change the rules in response to this. It'll be fun to watch the fallout when another Chella Choi incident happens but the LPGA is helpless to enforce a penalty, that was broadcast on TV, all because of the "Lexi Thompson Rule" (as surely it will come to be known).

What a disgusting article this is! GET. OVER. IT. I mean, now they have some lawyer implying that there's some malfeasance on the part of the reporter of this incident? GOOD GRIEF! Your client broke the rule! It doesn't matter how that came to light, it clearly happened. I think my empathy for Thompson will completely evaporate unless she comes out and puts this nonsense to bed and apologizes to Ryu for the crap she's had to deal with because of her retarded fans. What's funniest is the implication that there is controversy. There is none. Thompson broke the rule. The LPGA did the only thing they could do according to the rules. The source of the tip is immaterial. The timing unfortunate but it is what it is. The only controversy is that Thompson apparently doesn't like that the rules applied to her and is butthurt about it (I'm assuming this to be true because she has a lawyer speaking for her). And there are a bunch of American fans, players and media who can't deal and keep complaining. But that's not controversy. Pitiful, maybe, but not controversial. I said it before, but it bears repeating: don't like the rules? Change them. But implying that there is ANYTHING more to do in this particular instance is ridiculous and makes you look dumb and like a sore loser.

Tell Crusty Grrr that Kim Jong Un sent the e-mail...he has posters of Ryu on his bedroom walls.
Pretty soon they'll be saying that Lexi really didn't mark her ball like a drunk at a corporate scramble.

LMAO We all LUV reading your rants....they are so FUNNY...please NEVER stop. You must really hate being a Yank. So do all the guys at work tease you when they see a white guy pull out some stinky Kimchi, Japchae & gimbap for lunch everyday. Hmmmm...the last 2 wins from SYR have involved cheaters....Cheatin Chella and Loosie Lexi. I guess SYR's next win will involved a foot wedge.

This whole Lexi thing is a proxy fight for anti-foreignism among golf fans.

I re-read the article and got something wrong -- the spokesman for Thompson was an agent, not a lawyer. My mistake! But the argument still stands: this guy is clearly speaking for her, so I'm assuming anything he says matches her opinion until I hear otherwise.
Read the comments if you want some laughs. There's some tool who claims he sent a letter to Whan threatening a lawsuit if something is not done about this. The lawsuit will call into question every LPGA result for the past few years. Watch out, Whan, he warns, your job may be in jeopardy! There are 122 people involved in the suit already, he boasts. Tee hee, talk about too much time on your hands!
Just one more thing. The penalty was assessed when Thompson was on the 12th hole, but it was called in over an hour before that. At that point, Thompson I think had only a one shot lead over Pettersen, with Inbee and So Yeon Ryu in hot pursuit. It was certainly not a done deal that Thompson would continue to lead at that point -- so why call in? Wouldn't a Thompson hater think that maybe she would naturally fall away and the seven time Major winner chasing her would assert control? Gad, trying to make sense of this foolishness is too hard, even as a joke!

Ya, that guy who's going to sue the LPGA is pretty funny. This is the golden ticket for LPGA writers. 500 comments on that one.
The best argument is that it was only caught by a high-def camera. I'd be more sympathetic to that logic if it wasn't intentional. I now think it was intentional, not just negligence. She was moving her hand back and forth looking for a flat place to put the ball.
Lexi's defenders do seem to be running out of steam (and liquor) tho. The comments now are more about the caller (mom's basement, probably asian).
